Publisher's summary

Are you putting your whole faith in God but still living as if everything is up to you?

You may believe in God, attend church, and generally treat people with kindness…but are you living as if God doesn't exist? Have you surrendered to God completely, living every day depending upon the Holy Spirit?

Pastor and bestselling author Craig Groeschel will lead you on a personal journey toward an authentic, God-honoring life. This honest, hard-hitting, and eye-opening look into the ways people believe in God but live as if he doesn't exist is a classic of discipleship training. Groeschel's personal journey will help you break down your own barriers between simple belief and a more intentional faith.

This book will help you:

  • Let go of the shame of your past and know that you’re forgiven.
  • Embrace Christ’s profound love for you.
  • Believe in the power of prayer.
  • Give up control when life doesn't seem fair.
  • Trust God with all your anxious thoughts, heartache, struggles, and pain.

From the author of Winning the War in Your Mind, The Christian Atheist is a rallying cry to get honest with God, shed the self-sufficiency and the hypocrisy, and live a life that truly brings glory to Christ.

Always more to Learn

So personal to author and to reader. After 35 years of calling myself a Christian I found myself challenge with some sloppy habits and attitudes I was still owning. I started listening so I could help others but found so many areas I need to work on. Great handbook for growth

Another home run book!

Craig takes us through the mindset of spiritual lost people. If you say your a Christian that beloved Jesus died on the cross for your sins and don’t live your life that way, this book gives you a great opportunity to think of how your living your life. As an Author myself, I love Craig’s honesty in his writing. He shares true experiences that hit home every time. I know this book can impact every person that reads. Nice job!

Excellent book!

A great book, especially for those like me who struggles to live a sincere and honest Christian life, but in certain way we might found ourselves taking basics and fundamental things for granted. This book will make you meditate on aspects in your life, highly recommended.

We are all Atheist sometimes

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Sad, but true. I am a Christian but I sometimes act and think like God can't handle everything in my life. This book has helped see things in a new "Light" (pun intended). It was helpful to know that even a Pastor like Craig goes through the things I do in his walk with Jesus. We often feel we are the only ones that doubt, worry and struggle with life. Thank you Craig for your wonderful insight into Christian unbelief. May the Lord help us all to overcome unbelief.

theChristianatheist Hmmmmmm?

I totally enjoyed this book enough that I purchased the hard copy after the third chapter so that I could make notes to add to my resources material.
The title alone brings to mind a double negative thought process and my case in point being as the book title lay on my office desk while listen a officer entered the room and while I finished a phone call he looked at the title studying it. Once off the phone he pointed at it and said that can't be right... You can't be both... Believing in God and be an atheist. This open the door to share the knowledge the book has brought me about how we can live our lives as if there is no God while saying we believe in Him....to which the officer said"Hmmmmmm".
I think everyone who calls themselves a Christian should listen to or read or both this book.
