The Swami sounds far more down to earth than in his other talks, the conversational style also really helps.
This program opens your mind, heart, perception. It sheds great light on the chakras with semplicity and great depth at the same time.
I absolutely loved this audio book! I would recommend it to anyone who may be looking for enlightening insights, and help with finding your inner peace in this crazy world. Definitely a must.
This was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, but for karma reasons, I'll give it a 4. This lecture series by Kriyananda -- a direct disciple of the yogi Paramahansa Yogananda -- is supposed to be on Chakras, but oddly, I hardly know more about Chakras than before I listened to the lectures.
It was, however, worth listening to, in my opinion. Kriyananda was even a little contradictory here or there, I thought. Also, he is prone to break out in campy song.
All that said, I did enjoy the talks and think the lectures have some value and wisdom.
What I learnt after listening to these talks...
- Swami Kriyananda likes to talk.
- Swami Kriyananda finds much satisfaction in well delivered and articulated speech.
- Swami Kriyananda likes to write songs and talk about writing songs.
- Swami Kriyananda likes to sing and sing with his choir.
- Swami Kriyananda likes to talk about the past.
- I learnt about the gem stones, colours and star signs of each of the Chakras.
At a couple of points throughout the audio it sounded as though things were about to get interesting but never really continued along that path. If we were to remove all of the information not relating to the Chakras I believe this audio would be around one tenth of it's listening time.
Although Swami Kriyananda seems like a very kind, joyful and spiritual person, next time I will do a little more research before purchasing one of his talks.
An inspiring audiobook with very good sound quality. Swami Yogananda's voice is so soft and beautiful to listen to. This audiobook will definitely give you deeper insight into the chakras and the day-to-day lifestyle of a yogi. A lot of love has gone into making this recording, and you can't help but feel that love as you listen. One of the best collections of spiritual wisdom I have had from Audible yet. Thank you.
"Speechless ! Just Awful"
If it had not been recorded in the first place.
All of it !
I can not express just how terrible this book is - not to mention the quality of the recording and his style of narration, I think maybe the previous reviewer was taking the p**s when she starts the review as the quality was just awful and the description of what you get from this book is not what you get - it's all about yoga with many God references and could only listen to about 15 minutes and it was pure auditory torture !!!
