This is an updated edition of a book written by Missionary and evangelist Roy Hession in 1950 in which he profiles the nature of religious revival and lays out the prerequisites and consequences of the activity of God in the heart of the hungry seeker.
Roy Hession (1908-1992) was a British evangelist and author. Hession was born in London in 1908. He was educated at Aldenham School where his introduction to religion led him to expect "anything but boredom" from God. He was very much influenced by their strong emphasis on a personal implementation of the basics of the Christian faith, in particular the healing powers of openness and repentance. His preaching subsequently incorporated these new insights. This brought criticism because of its introspective element, from some he had previously worked with, but it was much appreciated by many Christians on both sides of the Atlantic.
Roy Hession died in 1992 but he is remembered for his infectious enthusiasm and his humor, but above all for his unwavering stand on the principles of repentance and grace that had become so precious to him.

I have listened to this so many times but the more I listen the more enthralled , convicted, and am filled with adoration for the Lamb of God, from my valley of dry bones .
My third time reading since 1995 and probably NOT my last time to get corrientes it. A great prep for true personal revival. Very simple, convicting, revealing and straight forward. God is present in these pages so get ready to repent in areas where HE sheds light and calls sin- sin.
What was so interesting is I Jekyll thinking .. Oh my husband should listen or so and so should listen and then I would realize that I need confess my own sins, not he other man's. The parable of the plank and the speck in the eye was illustrated like I'd never heard it before.
"Highly recommended "
Excellent book and easy to listen to, very well narrated. The book is in short chapters which is good for mulling over after each one. The book ends with three brief interviews with the author who underlines the simple yet vital biblical truths in his book. This book will be highly valued by anyone wanting a deeper daily experience of walking with Jesus Christ.
