In a world increasingly indifferent to Christian truth, followers of Christ need to be equipped to communicate with those who do not speak their language or accept their source of authority. Gregory Koukl demonstrates how to get in the driver’s seat, keeping any conversation moving with thoughtful, artful diplomacy. You’ll learn how to maneuver comfortably and graciously through the minefields, stop challengers in their tracks, turn the tables and—most importantly—get people thinking about Jesus. Soon, your conversations will look more like diplomacy than D-Day.Drawing on extensive experience defending Christianity in the public square, Koukl shows you how to:
Tactics provides the game plan for communicating the compelling truth about Christianity with confidence and grace.

Wise, God focused
Absolutely incredible. I'm a blue collar surrounded by unbelievers and i constantly get attacked by questions. This book gives tips and ways to break down what people try to "school me" with, and even better, it's focused on a Christian way, by not ending the conversation with the person offended. I want to spread the good news, this has helped so much :)
This book is an excellent starting point for anybody interested in Christian apologetics. Even for a non-Christian, it gives excellent tips for debating and lots of food for thought. It encourages analytical thinking and its principles can translate in many areas of our daily life. Not just apologetics.
This book is very well outlined. It takes you step by step through the thought process you should engage in and encourages you to start having conversations about the things that really matter.
The narrator did a great job. He kept you interested in the topic and it was easy to take notes to go back to.
I would strongly recommend this book to Christians and non-Christians alike. It is packed with good information and important steps to engage in healthy debates with others.
This is very well done. A must listen for anyone who wants to take Jesus last words to his followers to heart.
Me? I'm not who you think I think I am.
Koukl walks you through a deliberate process that will help you deal with many objections raised by atheists who, it would seem have not thought out their stance quite as we'll as they would like to have you believe. This book is a great place to start and surprisingly complete with many examples that will have you thinking more clearly than you have been. I highly reccomend this book as a resource for Christians.
A book of practical suggestions for how to approach people with the gospel in a tactful meaningful way. The tactics are mainly "common sense" but the kind of "common sense" that is difficult to manufacture on the spur of the moment when you are confronted with an unexpected opportunity to share your faith. I found the book helpful and I would highly recommend it.
The book gives practically examples of how to share your faith in the most non offensive way possible.
That its our job as Christians to plant seeds and not reap a harvest. God does the work, He will reap the harvest when its ready. We just need to be ready to do what ever part He puts in front of us to do. It takes the pressure off and helps us get in the game instead of running away from what we might think is an impossible conversation.
Informative, Educational, Perspective
I liked the story about the Witch from Wisconsin.
This book added tremendous perspective to sharing my faith. My pastor recommended it to me, this will be a book that I listen to (got the audio book) and read over and over again... more of a study - outstanding!
I have only listened to 1 book more than once in my entire life, that book is the Bible. That is, until Tactics. I am now on my third listen, and I'm sure that I will listen again.
This book isn't about the reasons you believe, it simply shows how to share those reasons with an unbeliever. If you take the author's advice to heart, you will be a better ambassador for Christ.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was very enlightening and challenging to the listener. This book has granted new insight for its listener in the field of Evangelism. Cordial responses, ask questions, be respectful, speak with grace, and always have an answer prepared for the HOPE that is in you! My most memorable moment in this book was the author's debate with another spiritual leader who they were in disagreement with one another. How respectful he handled that leader's challenging question with wisdom, boldness, and at the same time humility.
The audio narrator had done a bang up job reflecting the author's views and points is an accurate take through the use of his tone. The narrator sounded if I may say, as a teacher would. He kept my interest and made this informative book read much more like a story than just an old reference guide. Since the narration flowed so well and the book itself was filled with such rich teaching, the book was quite easy to finish. I have listened to it at least twice through and many different parts over and over again.
Overall, Great Job!
This narrator sounds like an economics teacher / squeaky clean dad actor for tv commercials/infomercials. Not believable.
some of the content conflicted with my beliefs. I wish the summary would have had his select "Christian" viewpoint, before I supported him with my purchase.
all of it. his voice, his timing, the emphasis on words. sounded like he was cold reading a script rather than speaking as the author felt and wrote it.
