Quit defending Christianity. Author Carl Medearis is not interested in keeping Christianity alive. Not one bit. Carl believes it has grown into something that is rarely attractive, frequently divisive, and all too often embarrassing. He believes you may feel this way too. In his new audiobook, Speaking of Jesus, Carl gives us a wink and a grin and the permission to stop feeding this thing called Christianity. His offer is that doing so allows us the freedom to relax and feast on Jesus.

Medearis provides a very powerful and effective approach to breaking down the walls that are created by denomination, religion and all that man has done to disfigure the message of Christ. Simplicity in the message is the most powerful way to spread the Gospel.
From the first paragraph to the final page, this book challenged me to think differently about Christianity and especially the way we evangelize. What I appreciated most is the way the author distinguishes between Christianity and all it's religious traditions, with simply following and obeying Jesus. There is a vast difference between what Jesus said and what Christianity has invented in using His name.
If still unsure, listen to the sample and I can almost guarantee you will download the rest of the book. I loved the stories he chooses to illustrate his points. After listening I have a whole new perspective on what it means to share Jesus with those in our midst.
Currently going to school for theology and philosophy so most of the books I read are on those subjects.
The author can seem like he cares more about people and their feelings than the truth itself. To me it also paints a picture that Jesus was a passive person when he was not. I like the way that he tries to say let's stop talking church and start talking Jesus but it can come off as if he wants the reader to say like "well Jesus is God but I'm ok with being wrong". Extremely passive and not defensive at all. We should defend the faith because Jesus did we shouldn't be passive but loving with compassion and truth
"Break down your walls and share Jesus."
Yes. I will certainly listen to certain portions of the book again.
It's similar to Carl's first book, but not focused on a certain people and much more talk of how to share Jesus.
He adds some nice little touches, like pauses, hesitations and laughs.
Passion to share Jesus and deeper love for him.
Great book. Will help you be excited to share Jesus and makes it much simpler!
"Great News The Love of Jesus"
Yes I will listen to this a number of times. Being a follower of Jesus is far better than being a Christian.
Jesus loves us all.
