The Classic That Changed Our Perception of the Afterlife
In 1975, Dannion Brinkley was struck and killed by lightning. When he awoke twenty-eight minutes later in a morgue, everything was different. He had visited the afterlife, met thirteen angels, and been given 117 revelations about the future. In the years since, one hundred of the revelations have already come true. In Saved by the Light, now available in trade paperback for the first time, Brinkley shares his incredible story, revealing the truth about the afterlife and providing guidance from beyond about how we should live today.

I have read a lot about near death experiences. This book strikes me as possibly not true.I would recommed "Return From Tomorrow" by George Ritchie and his follow up book"Ordered to Return, My Life After Dying" Also the books by Raymond Moody. And "Signals" by Joel Rothschild. A recent book "Proof of Heaven" by Eben Alexander
is written by a neurosurgeon and might be interesting to people who want a more medical type proof that near death experiences are true. Everyone's spirtual search is different and different styles appeal to different people. So perhaps this book might be helpful to you. But to me, it doesn't feel authentic. Not that I dont believe in near death experiences, I do. But this book doesn't feel the way the books I recommended above made me feel. It feels surfacey and perhaps not authentic.
This book is exactly what I needed to hear when I heard it the moment I heard it! I was alone in my house. After praying in supernatural languages I decided to brows YouTube. (Browsing YouTube is a favorite thing of mine). Searching for something interesting to watch, I prayed to Holy Spirit asking what I should watch. IMMEDIATELY I saw a picture in my mind of a person speaking to someone and gesturing with his hand. So, on YouTube, I searched for a picture similar to the flash picture I saw in my mind's eye. And when I saw Dannion's three-part interview when he was a young man, I clicked on it. This all started 3 days ago, and now I feel like my whole life has gotten back on course! Incredible Author - who reminds me of Paul in the Holy Scriptures! And Paul turned out to be the most ripple causing effectual man on the face of the earth in his day, because Paul was able to influence the future course of the world as we know it in such a way that is only comparable to Jesus Christ in the flesh Himself, blessed be He! Yet, because of this writing, I understand now how profoundly similar EACH one of us are in influence and in making this world a better place to live. And live together we shall...
This kept my attention the whole trip, that I was on. I looked forward to finshing lunch so I could get back to it.
My uncle recommended this book to me, he wouldn't tell me too much about it because he didn't want to give away the whole story. I immediately ordered it on audible (I love listening to books while cleaning or laying in bed). I listened to this book straight through, it was incredible. I hadn't heard much about near death experiences, and after this book I definitely want to learn more about people's experiences. Having been raised Catholic and then converting to atheism but always knowing that the golden rule/karma is real and living by that rule, this book solidifies that for me. Small acts of kindness and living with love in your heart and for your fellow man is the only way to make the world a better place. I highly recommend this book to everyone no matter what you believe in.
I stopped listening after he was shown the "videos" by the spirits and things just became too far fetched and hard to believe. Sounds too much like he's trying to get people to start buying into what he's ultimately selling.
