God is not interested in developing your vision first. He's interested in developing you.
In Rooted, Banning Liebscher takes us to the life of David to show how God expands our root system in the hidden places to leave an impact on the visible world. It was in a field of prayerful devotion, a season of serving, and a cave of community that God prepared David for his crown - the same way God prepares us. Take a look at your own life. Are you embracing God's process, the sometimes painstaking and maddening process? When we can release ourselves to God, we will find that we can thrive while he develops us rather than succumb to discouragement.
Whatever your age or season of life, it takes immense courage to slow down enough to let God grow a root system in your life, so you can bear fruit that remains. You are where you are because God has planted you there. Discover what it looks like to embrace his process, so you can do what he has called you to do: change the world.

The ideas and story tied to a root system was overall a well thought out plan. I especially felt motivated and inspired to leave old attitudes behind and embrace my position. Also I found strength knowing that I can grow my relationship with Christ and my community by changing my outlook. This book is excellent in helping us understand how we arrived at our current situation and how we can choose how we will move forward
Awesome book and spot on biblically and experientially for those in pursuit of fully living their call and purpose. I rate this as top shelve and consider it to be the modern version of Rick Warrens Purpose Driven Life. You won't be disappointed.
I recommend this book 100% it was so awesome that i couldn't put it down. Its filled with tremendous revelation from the word of God... I love how God spoke to me and will read again a 2nd time to get more out of it.. So soooo good I recommend this book 100%
I have greatly enjoyed this book! The heart and message of this piece was not only needed, but it was timely for myself. It has challenged my thinking not only as a leader, but as a person as well. Needless to say, I not only recommend this book to leaders, but to every Christian as well. Don't hesitate on purchasing this book!
I love how he breaks it down into 3 soils where God develops you: Intimacy, Serving & Community. It was a timely word for my life and I have shared this book with so many of my friends and colleagues.
I have many highlighted and marked up pages so that I can go back over areas that resonated with me. I loved Banning's passion and transparency. I highly recommend Rooted...or Grounded for those outside of the US.
