Publisher's summary

In Reasons to Believe, Scott Hahn, a convert to Catholicism, explains the "how and why" of the Catholic faith - drawing from Scripture, his own struggles, and those of other converts, as well as from everyday life and even natural science. Hahn shows that reason and revelation, as well as nature and the supernatural, are not opposed to one another; rather, they offer complementary evidence that God exists. He is someone, and He has a personality, a personal style, that is discernable and knowable.

Hahn leads readers to see that God created the universe with a purpose and a form - a form that can be found in the Book of Genesis and that is there when we view the natural world through a microscope, through a telescope, or through our contact lenses.

At the heart of the book is Hahn's examination of the 10 "keys to the kingdom" - the characteristics of the Church clearly evident in the Scriptures. As the story of creation discloses, the world is a house that has a Father, a palace where the king is really present. God created the cosmos to be a kingdom, and that kingdom is the universal Church, fully revealed by Jesus Christ.

Amazing person, Scott Hahn

Scott is a man with a big commitment and an intellect to get to the depth of things. He is no halfhearted person. Good reader for this book is Grove Gardner.

Amazing but I wish I’d bought the paper book

This is such an amazing and comprehensive and important work and I would highly recommend it to all Catholics and those curious about the Catholic Faith. I bought this book on audible but I wish I’d bought the paper version because it contains so many references that unless you are actively writing down you may lose track of.

Excellent Resource

An absolute read for converts coming into the Catholic Church from a Protestant background. All points are backed up by scripture. Appreciate the comparison between Protestant and Catholic interpretation of the same scripture references.

Excellent as usual!

Would you consider the audio edition of Reasons to Believe to be better than the print version?

Both the audio and print versions have their benefits. Audio is very easy to take with you when you are on the go. But with Scott Hahn's books, it is beneficial (but not required) to have a print copy as well for study purposes (highlights and notes).

What other book might you compare Reasons to Believe to and why?

Any and all of Scott Hahn's other books. They contain loads of information. His depth of knowledge and explanations are top notch. You will learn something (I have learned many things) in all of them.

Taken Aback

I am a cradle Roman Catholic and I never knew a lot of the stuff about the church until I listen to this book. What a great read, what a wonderful author, and my life is more enriched because of it.

Another Scott Hahn Classic

Scott Hahn once again does not disappoint. Solid apologetics that all Catholics should possess and as Scott quotes, "Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope" (1 Peter 3:15).

I needed this!

This book really helps clarify some points of the Faith that come up often in conversations with atheists and non-Catholic Christians. I listened to it twice back-to-back, and it will be going into my biannual reading list.
