I just bought the whole bible. The voice is clear and good. But how can one find a particular book to listen? There is simply NO WAY to do it. It wastes money to buy each book, but who would know the whole bible edition does NOT even have table of contents to let you choose a book to listen! I need a refund.
I've read many reviews that point out that it is hard to find the book or chapter you are looking for, because it is divided into 19 parts rather than 66. Here is the division by part and chapter within the part. I really like it overall now that I can easily find the book I am looking for and with some simple math, the chapter.
Part 1 – Genesis 1-50 (ch1-50), Exodus 1-40 (ch51-90)
Part 2 – Leviticus 1-27 (ch1-27), Numbers 1-36 (ch28-63)
Part 3 – Deuteronomy 1-34 (ch1-34), Joshua 1-24 (ch35-58), Judges 1-21 (ch59-79)
Part 4 – Ruth 1-4 (ch1-4), 1 Samuel 1-31 (ch5-35), 2 Samuel 1-24 (ch36-59)
Part 5 – 1 Kings 1-22 (ch1-22), 2 Kings 1-25 (ch23-47)
Part 6 – 1 Chronicles 1-29 (ch1-29), 2 Chronicles 1-36 (ch30-65), Ezra 1-10 (ch66-75)
Part 7 – Nehemiah 1-13 (ch1-13), Esther 1-10 (ch14-23), Job 1-42 (ch24-65)
Part 8 – Psalms 1-99 (ch1-99)
Part 9 – Psalms 100-150 (ch1-51), Proverbs 1-31 (ch52-82)
Part 10 – Ecclesiastes 1-12 (ch1-12), Song of Songs 1-8 (ch13-20), Isaiah 1-66 (ch21-86)
Part 11 – Jeremiah 1-52 (ch1-52), Lamentations 1-5 (Ch53-57)
Part 12 – Ezekiel 1-48 (ch1-48), Daniel 1-12 (ch49-60), Hosea 1-14 (ch61-74)
Part 13 – Joel 1-3 (ch1-3), Amos 1-9 (ch4-12), Obadiah 1 (ch13), Jonah 1-4 (ch14-17), Micah 1-7 (ch18-24), Nahum 1-3 (ch25-27), Habakkuk 1-3 (ch28-30), Zephaniah 1-3 (ch31-33), Haggai 1-2 (ch34-35), Zechariah 1-14 (ch36-49), Malachi 1-4 (ch50-53)
Part 14 – Matthew 1-28 (ch1-28), Mark 1-16 (ch29-44)

Part 18 – Philippians 1-4 (ch1-4), Colossians 1-4 (ch5-8), 1 Thessalonians 1-5 (ch9-13), 2 Thessalonians 1-3 (ch14-16), 1 Timothy 1-6 (ch17-22), 2 Timothy 1-4 (ch23-26), Titus 1-3 (ch27-29), Philemon 1 (ch30), Hebrews 1-13 (ch31-43)

Hope that helps.
This Bible is not organized for useful access. Cannot choose book or chapter.
A Bible should be accessible by book and chapter, not arbitrarily chopped into 19 segments with random audio chapters. This was a complete waste of not 1 but 2 credits. It is an outrageous offering.l
The voice actor is easy to listen too.
The lack of titles on the downloads for the books within the bible (Genesis, Exodus, matthew, mark, luke, john, etc) and incorrectly divided chapters by audible does not make finding a specific section easy. Matthew and Mark might be placed into the same download, but I have no idea which download they are in, and then I have to skip through all the chapters of Matthew if I want to get to Mark. And there's no way to know if I'm on Mark without listening to the narrator.
I'm glad to have the opportunity to listen to the Bible on long drives, but the way the download was created is not very user friendly. Though once accurate titles have been added I'll be quite content with this download.
No distracting music. Good, clear, even reading. Great pace.
I only wish that it had a better way to reference chapters.
The NIV version of the Bible is clear, and easy to understand in modern English.
It is a great choice for listening and I was surprised to notice that with someone else reading, I remembered better and saw connections and had comprehensions of underlying themes which I had missed in reading it.
I like to listen to a few chapters a day.
Don't miss this! It will give you plenty to listen to and think about for years to come.
I have really enjoyed the narration of George W. Sarris. He has a great, easy to listen to voice and he uses it well.
He uses his inflection well, although he clearly has not tired to do a tremendously dramtic rendering. I like this approach.
Given that, he had me giggling when speaking for Balaam's donkey and several characters who were clearly drunken.
I will listen to this many times in days to come.
You will not regret this version, this voice or this purchase.
I appreciate listening to the scriptures while I drive in my car or sit in my house. It is God's Word, the greatest book ever written. The reader is easy to listen to.
The inability to select specific books and chapters is a huge problem for this recording. People don't typically read the Bible in the same way they do a novel or other narrative, and the only way for an individual to make this recording useful is to go through and individually bookmark books and chapters. This is a problem I've seen with reference material I've gotten through Audible as well, please, please, please, take the time to make these books navigable.
NIV is a nice, basic, solid translation. Hard to go wrong here.
Being able to select the book and chapter I want to listen to.
Not being able to select a book and chapter is a horrendous issue/flaw. Audible seriously needs to work on this. Otherwise the clarity is good and the narration is at a comfortable pace.
