Fantastic and Inspiring

I really loved Bob’s perspective on living life large and with a sense of whimsy!

Engaging

I love how this book paints out scenarios of personal testament and links it to verses to the Holy Bible. I have too many books which “stalk” Christianity, but rarely do I read books that explains examples application. This book is whimsical, contagious, and full of hope and sincerity.

Humorous yet Poignant

"Love Does" was gifted to me so I had no idea what it was about when I started listening to it The author did a great job of sharing life events with great humor and insight, which made me want more. I highly recommend this book.

Good book, but don’t learn Theology from it.

It is a good book with funny and inspiring stories that encourage all of us to do the things we ought to be doing already. The author encourages us to engage more, and shows us the fruit of that engagement. After reading it, I find myself wanting to get more involved with people and to do the things I had only thought about before. What I don’t like about the book however is that the author makes sweeping statements about who God is and what he wants us to do with our lives. Unfortunately, those statements often are unbiblical. I would encourage anyone to read it, but with caution. I would simply read with great discernment, and be careful not to take to heart the author’s statements like, “That’s how God sees us,” or “That’s what Jesus meant when he...” The author isn’t always mistaken on those points, but he often is. That said, the illustrations he uses to make those statements come to life are often good, and should be followed more often.

Delightfully Inspiring

This book is entertaining indeed, but much more than that, it really inspires hope for everyone. I am so grateful that Bob took the time and opportunity to write it and share some of the toughest times in his life to inspire and challenge others to take the “adventures” (big and small), as life affords each one of us.
