For women of faith who want to understand better the problems women face today, this audiobook is worth every penny and more. DeMoss has given us a great insight to the real lies women have come to believe and explains the when, how and whys. Highly recommended and one of the best.
There were many ouch moments. however sometimes that is necessary for adults. I forgot who I was and who God purposed me to be. this book helped me to remember. I have already recommended it to 3 people.
The Faithful Traveler
Absolutely. This is the kind of book you give to girlfriends you love, almost like saying, "Hey! You have to read this! It will help." And it does. It's hard to say, why... it's just such useful information presented in such a wonderful manner.
I liked how it presented each lie in list form, then gave plenty of anecdotes to help illustrate them.
I don't think so. She does a great job of presenting the material in a manner that is easy to listen to and not distracting.
YES! I couldn't stop listening to it!
This is a Christian book, using Adam and Eve as a wonderful foundation for the lies we women believe.
I'm reading along with the book and the book that I have is not the version that audible.com has. How can this be avoided?
What a great book! Touched so many relevant topics. At times, it seemed the the author knew me and my struggles to have written a book that could go in so deeply.
Not everything might apply to everyone. But if you're willing to grow in at least one area of your life, I would give this book a try.
Sometimes I think that's just too funny!
Very biblical, very sound, very encouraging. Highly recommend' loved the down to earth approach on how it was written.
The book is great. I own the print copy. The narration is fine too. But the audio book execution is terrible. The actual chapter divisions from the book are ignored. The audio book is divided into only 4 audio parts, and even these don't end at ends of real chapters. Then they play loud music at the end and beginning of each audio section. This might make sense if it were a true transition from one chapter to another, but it's not.
This book is the biggest waste of money and full of lies. I think it was written in the forties by a man who thought that a womens place was in the kitchen or bedroom and not standing next to her partner or by herself.
If you dont read the bible and dont have a brain you might like this book but for me...I ripped it up and put it in the rubbish. For my mother..she did the same.
Dont waste your money.
