Judah Smith digs deep to answer the most common and the most difficult questions about Jesus, a man so few understand and so many desperately need.
In Jesus Is, Judah Smith explores a number of topics that reveal Jesus' purpose for coming, what he accomplished while he was here, and what that means for those of us who came after. Jesus is greatly revered, harshly criticized, and sorely misunderstood.
Judah breaks down who Jesus is and explains to listeners how understanding that more fully will not only enrich their lives, but also give meaning to them and save them.
Jesus Is gives listeners the intimate knowledge that makes for a deeper, lasting relationship with Jesus, allowing them to commune with and grow in him. Judah wants listeners to know that Jesus is more than a good teacher, more than an inspiring leader. He is the point of all life.

This is one of the best books I have.
"That’s the gospel. It’s good news for everyone. It’s not good news just for people who are already good, for those who are self-controlled and disciplined enough to have all their ducks in a row. It’s good news for the people who can’t even find their ducks. They haven’t seen some of their ducks in years. Their lives are a mess. But they can come to Jesus and find instant acceptance. They belong long before they believe and long before they behave.”
He is funny and real.
Judah is so real and easy to listen to and follow.
This is the best book I've ever read/heard so far! He's inspiring and gives an amazing picture of who Jesus really is. If you are doubtful this is a great way to get to know Jesus more! If you are faithful it might make you see Jesus in different ways! Again this was amazing, a must read!
Officially obsessed with this pastor in the most delightful way- stumbled on this book in a query and it was exactly what I needed- I would say please check it out- it was an amazing blessing to me!
This book explains who Jesus really is in a very understandable way.
When he explained what Grace of God is.
Pastor Judah Smith has given such clear and practical insight into the person of the risen Savior, Jesus Christ. He breaks down all the religious ideas we've had about Christianity and our relationship with Christ. I recommend this book for anyone who just wants to better understand who Jesus really is. "He is IRRESISTIBLE"!
I would absolutely recommend this book to a friend, and in fact, already have. Not only is the content great, Judah Smith reads it superbly! First of all, he is a speaker (pastor) by trade so he's used to speaking on a regular basis. Second, he knows where the inflection was intended as he is the author of the book.
This is one book that I think may very likely be even better on audio than reading it yourself.
Another similar type book might be Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Both deal with God's overwhelming love for us, and grace is a big component of both books as well.
One of my favorite quotes is in the forward, "Christianity is not about not swearing. It's not about not having unpure thoughts. Really, it's not about not at all. Christianity is about Jesus."
Prior to purchasing this book I read several of the reviews. I like to read both the 4 & 5 star reviews and the 1 star reviews. There were a few 1 star reviews where the reader really did not like the book specifically because they felt Judah to be too relaxed about Jesus. In their words, almost irreverent.
I bought the book anyway as it came highly recommended by a friend of mine that I know to have very similar taste in books, sermons, etc. In the first sitting I not only listened to the introduction and first 4 chapters; I started it over for my kids to listen to as well. After my first listen, I went in and told my husband "if this book does not rock peoples' world they are living under a rock!"
Jesus Is is so very much about relationship. If you are looking for for a book that presents Jesus plainly and full of love & grace, you must read this book.
A brilliant book about grace & Jesus ,Worth listening to,
Judah is excellent. I recommend it.
