A "prayer companion" is a person who is present to another and for another in a disciplined relationship of Christian love. Sister of Divine Providence Carole Riley reviews guidelines and suggestions for the process of becoming a healing presence to another person on the journey of faith. She distinguishes between being a prayer companion and being a spiritual director. Central to being a prayer companion, according to Sister Carole, is to be a source of peace and presence of the healing Christ for the other person.
