Publisher's summary

In this groundbreaking study of after-death communication experiences, authors Bill and Judy Guggenheim focus on the 12 major types of ADCs people report, the loving messages they receive, and the effects on the lives of those who have been contacted. They present persuasive evidence that ADCs are authentic contacts by deceased loved ones and discuss a few of the many far-reaching social and spiritual implications of their findings.

During their 7 years of research, Bill and Judy Guggenheim interviewed 2,000 people from all over America and Canada and collected more than 3,300 firsthand accounts from people who stated that they have been contacted by a deceased relative or friend. The Guggenheims selected 353 deeply poignant and comforting firsthand accounts for Hello from Heaven. Presented as complete short stories, they offer powerful emotional and spiritual healing, especially for those who are grieving or afraid of death.

Many of the accounts reveal information that the person contacted did not know - and could not have known - before their ADC occurred. In other cases, a person's life was protected, or even saved, by an ADC experience, including a number who were planning to commit suicide. Occasionally two or more people were together at the same place and time when they shared an after-death communication. Listen to these joyous and uplifting reports and decide for yourself whether they offer modern-day evidence of life after death.

Not my favorite, but interesting.

I found this book to be informative, but sometimes a little dry. It felt more like a listing of events in categories rather than stories. I got bored of it rather quickly.

Very comforting

I listened to this book right after losing someone I love unexpectedly. The book was very comforting. Although, I am very envious of those blessed with After Death Communication. I certainly want that, but as of this writing have none. But, this book makes it clear that life goes on even though our physical connection is lost. It is evident the only pain from death exists here in this world. It is indeed very painful, but I am comforted knowing those we love still interact with us in ways we are not always able to know and for some, who are fortunate enough, blessed with further communication.

I felt it was healing

I found it helpful and healing. When you have great loss it can feel live you are alone. This reminds you that others suffer too. It is also a reminder that your love one is still with you.

Nice but a little monotonous

This book has an uplifting message, and the philosophy is worth considering.

The narrator delivers each testimony with identical sentiment, and since so many of the testimonies are similar, they blend into one another after a while.

Nevertheless, it will certainly help many bereaved listeners. It offers a hopeful perspective for anyone facing or considering the eventual end of their life.

The issue of suicide is handled respectfully and cautiously, in a way that can benefit survivors and likely dissuade anyone who may be contemplating taking their own life.

If you have a few extra credits or if you’re generally interested in the subject matter, it’s worth a listen.
