In this groundbreaking study of after-death communication experiences, authors Bill and Judy Guggenheim focus on the 12 major types of ADCs people report, the loving messages they receive, and the effects on the lives of those who have been contacted. They present persuasive evidence that ADCs are authentic contacts by deceased loved ones and discuss a few of the many far-reaching social and spiritual implications of their findings.
During their 7 years of research, Bill and Judy Guggenheim interviewed 2,000 people from all over America and Canada and collected more than 3,300 firsthand accounts from people who stated that they have been contacted by a deceased relative or friend. The Guggenheims selected 353 deeply poignant and comforting firsthand accounts for Hello from Heaven. Presented as complete short stories, they offer powerful emotional and spiritual healing, especially for those who are grieving or afraid of death.
Many of the accounts reveal information that the person contacted did not know - and could not have known - before their ADC occurred. In other cases, a person's life was protected, or even saved, by an ADC experience, including a number who were planning to commit suicide. Occasionally two or more people were together at the same place and time when they shared an after-death communication. Listen to these joyous and uplifting reports and decide for yourself whether they offer modern-day evidence of life after death.

This book wasn't exactly what I expected, but it was a very good listen.. It's full of stories of individuals who had encounters with their loved ones from the other side. Each story is short and to the point. Many of these stories were by people who have always believed in life after death, and some were by people who believed this is it, there's nothing more.. Their encounters changed the way they see life and the afterlife..
It's not about religion or trying to convince anyone of anything.. It's just a book of stories given by people from all over with a bit of research info given about each type of encounter.. Some of them took away a religious meaning, others saw it as confirmation that we will all meet again on the other side.. .
If you enjoy books about spirituality, you'll very much enjoy this one.
The stories offered in the book of people's experience with after death communications.
The evidence and proof offered that there is life after death.
Laugh and cry as the stories are very emotional.
This is a must listen!
Perhaps someone seeking comfort more than truth.
I doubt it.
Yes, he really gave different voices to the characters.
Maybe the narrator - he didn't really add very much.
The many anecdotes were all pretty generic - that made the whole thing seem like a fabrication. Also, the orientation was strongly Christian, with lots of references to deceased loved ones being with Jesus, or angels, or Mary. Nothing against Christians (some of my best friends, etc.) but I wonder that no other religious denomination was represented in the authors' interviews. Sorry - this book just seemed to be a contrivance based on the authors' own beliefs, rather than objective investigation.
I have a rather eclectic love of books. I know what I like and I tend not to be a severe critic. If I enjoyed it, it gets 4 or 5 stars.
I found this book to be informative, but sometimes a little dry. It felt more like a listing of events in categories rather than stories. I got bored of it rather quickly.
Inspirational, positive, uplifting.
No, I listened to it in three parts when I was restoring part of the upstairs bedrooms of my house.
I wanted more information. I listened to this book within a couple of weeks after my young mother died unexpectedly. It helped me and I would recommend this to anyone going through the grieving process. I just wanted more. I guess I wanted a written affidavit that my mother was still in existence. I also remember feeling jealous that people were experiencing their loved ones so soon after death. I hadn't any of those experiences at the time. I have now. These were all personal stories and I believe them. They didn't seem made up. This is the book that brought me to Audible. So for that, I would give it a five star. I might have rated it higher had I listened to it when I wasn't devastated.
Near the top.
An interesting compilation of after death contact experiences. I sought out this book after I had a few experiences of my own and found illustrations of each of my experiences. Very interesting.
I live in a remote area of Alaska. I read and listen to audio books. I am single and live with 3 dogs and 2 cats. I have a horse. I am 73
I probably would not try another book by these authors.
The presentation was good but the subject didn't interest me.
