When a massive pileup on an Arizona highway caused Valerie Paters and her Jeep to be entombed beneath a semi-truck in a blinding snowstorm, it seemed certain that her life would soon end. Once extracted from the mangled metal, and suffering from massive injuries, Valerie was hospitalized and placed on life support while doctors waited to harvest her organs. But Valerie was more alive than she had ever been. As she stood in the radiant presence of Jesus, He wrapped her into himself, assuring her of his love and of the promise that heaven is only a breath away.
Heaven Is a Breath Away is a thrilling first-hand account of the home that awaits Christians when they draw their last breath here on earth. With open arms, Christ welcomes to heaven those who belong to him. Rarely has this vision been told in such exquisite detail. It will undoubtedly comfort those who have lost loved ones or are near death themselves. Heaven Is a Breath Away gives hope and encourages faith by sharing the heaven Jesus promised - a real place, magnificent in scope and beauty, permeated with iridescence, and alive with divine energy and love.

It makes me happy to wake up everyday and look forward to listening. Many times I listen while doing artwork. I find it very relaxing.
Heaven is a Breath Away was a truly inspirational listen. Valerie is a strong woman whose faith never really wavered. Through her painful surgeries as a child as well as being treated differently, she maintained her belief that Jesus was there for her.
He never left but he was there when she needed him the most. At times it was hard to listen to the struggles Valerie went through but I found myself rooting for her as she slowly came back from the other side. I liked listening to her encounter with Jesus while there. I believe her story 100% and have heard where others have experienced this. This was such an enlightening listen.
Amanda Fugate-Moss did an amazing job with Valerie's story. It seemed like it was her speaking. She was the perfect reader with excellent vocal skills.

A good listen makes for an amazing day!
It made me appreciate the idea of heaven and how close it resonates in our soul, from our creator. It made me appreciate every breath, and allowed me to feel God's presence into my journey through heaven.
She was great and easy to listen to. I really enjoyed her voice!

I enjoyed "Heaven is a Breath Away" but it took awhile to really get into this book. The first part of the book was to detailed about their childhood and problems. But finally the story fell into place. It was a very inspirational book full of wonderful bible verses. Valerie and Cheryl were both strong in a horrible situation but they both came through by the Grace and Love of Jesus. Was a Good Christian Book. Slow beyond belief and horrible narration. I cannot listen to it, I really tried. There is no story to mention except an accident, described as some dragon devouring some carsl. Ridicilous. Horrible writing and descriptions. All the five star reviews are her biased friends and relatives who received the book for free for a review. How many people are telling the story is even more unbelievable. Worse than a soap opera. Used Christian symbols and names to dress it up to sell. Audible failed the quality control on this one.
