Publisher's summary

Preaching - the practice of publicly expositing the Bible - has fallen on hard times. How did this happen? After all, as John A. Broadus famously remarked, "Preaching is characteristic of Christianity."

In this powerful book, He Is Not Silent: Preaching in a Postmodern World, Mohler shows us how. In a style both commanding and encouraging, Mohler lays the groundwork for preaching, fans the flame on the glory of preaching, and calls out with an urgent need for preaching.

Excellent book.

Preaching the Word of God is a privilege, and also a great responsibility. In this Dr. Albert Mohler presents a clear description of the role of preaching. He also explains essential aspects of the expository preaching and its importance in the present-day. I’ll highly recommend this book.

good, expected more preaching help

Dr mohler likes worldview stuff, and this can be clearly seen in this book. it is a necessary area of discussion in the topic of preaching, especially to a postmodern world, but I thought there was too much in this book. I wish there was more practical advise on preaching. however it is useful to listen to

Preaching in the Postmodern era

I fell in love with the book. The author speaks of the reality around the Church and inside of the Church. It speaks of the hope that each preachers has to hold onto. God is NOT looking for preachers to entrain people but to reflect His holy message in these critical time. They should preach as dying man to dying people.

Great Book for Preaching

This book focuses mostly on, as the title suggests, preaching in a post modern world. But it is also more! The last two chapters and epilogue were particularly powerful and moving! Great book!
