Publisher's summary

This piece, formerly titled The Divine Conquest, was created as a sequel to The Pursuit of God.

Admitting to having been forced by inward pressure and an unbearable burden to write it, Tozer's aim was to assure believers that if they want to know the power of Christ they must be invaded by God.

"This little work of the spiritual way has not been 'made' in any mechanical sense, it has been born out of inward necessity....The sight of the languishing church around me and the operations of a new spiritual power within me have set up a pressure impossible to resist." - A.W. Tozer

What a POWERFUL book!

I thought at first since this book was originally published in 1950, that I wasn’t going to be able to follow it….but I couldn’t be more wrong! This was an AMAZING book! One that I look forward to reading again and again!!!!

one of the best

There are very few authors who have the insight into God's word as A.W.Tozer. the church would profit so much if it would embrace the truths of God's word which Tozer brings forth to his readers.

I really love this book and how it describes our relationship with God

This book amazes and astonishes my soul and learning to know Jesus Christ more personally, and helps me to know him on a personal level

Absolutely Amazing

I am up to 47 books in my Audible library, and this is one of the most real, powerful and challenging biblical treatises on the Christian's responsibility on how to walk in Him, that I have ever heard.

Wonderful Teaching

I am a Tozer fan. All of his books are excellent. This was a good recoding. The reader does a great job.

My only complaint is the absence of heading for each chapter. They are only numbered. I wish they carried the text from the original book. I use these because of a disability and they would be helpful with going back to the book for reference.

I know that is a small thing. But it would be helpful. Other than that the book is outstanding.

Sobering.

Perhaps more relevant than when it was written. Men like A W Tozer are needed today. Speak with love but unequivocally and unapologetically Christian.

Grover Gardner is excellent as the reader.

Tozer's Great Message...

remains here, just as in The Pursuit Of God, namely that a deep, mature theology resides in a direct relationship with the divine and a transcendence of the phony-miracle-monied-medicine show that most organized religion inevitably becomes. I highly recommend the work of Bonhoeffer and Barth as compliment to the work of Tozer.

God and Man

Definitely a must read for all Christians who seek God in their daily life. Tozer's has a very accurate analysis of the current culture inside and outside modern Christianity. I'm most impressed by his analogies and use of scripture to defend his case.
