Finally! Apologia introduces an elementary level Anatomy book that gives glory to God as children discover what's going on inside their bodies! Take this in-depth journey into the anatomy and physiology of your body through Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology by Jeannie Fulbright and pediatrician Brooke Ryan, M.D. From the brain in your head to the nails on your toes, you and your students will encounter fascinating facts, engaging activities, intriguing experiments, and loads of fun as you learn about the human body and how to keep it working well.
Beginning with a brief history of medicine and a peek into cells and DNA, your students will voyage through 14 lessons covering many subjects, such as the body systems: skeletal, muscular, respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular, nervous, and more! They'll study nutrition and health, how God designed their immune system to protect them, along with embryology and what makes them a unique creation of God. As they work their way through the course, your students will enjoy adding the organs about which they learn to their own personalized human figure to be placed in their course notebook.
In addition to all this exploration, your students will enjoy scientific experiments and projects, such as testing the bacteria content around the house, finding their blood type, creating a cell model from Jello and candy, and even building a stethoscope!
In keeping with the other books in the Apologia elementary science Young Explorer Series, the Charlotte Mason methodology is employed with engaging narratives, narration prompts and note-booking projects, all of which reinforce their learning using proven techniques that strengthen retention.

This has been so enjoyable to listen to as we learn about all the detail ways God created us.
I loved the scripture and lessons from scripture applied to the details of the science of how our body systems work and are created to do so many detail things to protect us.
I would only recommend this book only if Audible can provide the illustrations and exercises that are in the book. Without these the book is difficult to utilize as an educational provision.
The personality traits of the reading is great! The author makes the reading quite personable and provides a sense of the human presence and relevance when listening to the book. The author also make reference to great study skills!
The narrator is good and appropriate for the content of the book.
Yes The illustrations and experiment contents of the book are necessary in order for the reader to comprehend the knowledge that is being taught.
This is not meant to offend anyone. For me, hearing the word God over and over again takes away from the material that I'm am trying to learn.
Disappointment and Anger
Do not buy this book if you are not extreme religious (christian)
in every sentence she manage to add; Like GOD intented, our GOD given bones, So this proves that GOD is real, some people actually think that the universe was created by a big bang, and not by GOD. and so on, and so on AND SO ON!!!
"Anatomy and Physiology Tainted with Religion."
There is some good information about basic Anatomy and Physiology here but I think is it immoral to add in religious beliefs, beliefs that are presented as facts in and around facts about anatomy and physiology. I am not an atheist but I don't think mixing a factual scientific subject with religion is at all appropriate.
"'Very insightful and great anyone new to anatomy'"
Very good and will help all newcomers to the subject.
Lots of great feedback for this book. Only downside is that it does make reference to God a fair bit and if you don't believe in god then it can make a few eye rolling moments.
Very much recommended book and happy with the purchase.
