    "Satisfying and Comforting"

I listened to his first book "Journey of Souls" and liked it but found it a bit geeky and dry, but maybe that was only because I usually listen to fiction (thrillers and mystery). I could only listen for about 15 - 40 minutes, then had to quit or stop and think about it, but it was very good and when I realized there was a second book, I had to get it. This seems to be easier for me to listen for hours and I really like it. I hope he does more.

The geekiness of the first book is what makes it believable to me: this is not a guy that is hearing only what he wants to hear and manipulating people into saying what he wants to hear. He approaches in an investigative and scientific way -- he really didn't know where this would take him. When I pay attention to his method, I'm really impressed with how he asks questions of his patients under hypnosis without implying the answer he expects. He merely reports what he hears, he has no agenda.

I am not religious but do believe in life after death and have pieced together my own logic from what I've read various places and what just makes sense to me. I consumed all the "New Age" stuff back in the day, but eventually found that too fluffy and airy-fairy for my tastes, though like organized religions, they have good intentions and have some truths. Everyone has to find what resonates with them and what they feel comfortable with. What is told in his books fits with what I'd figured out in general, but fills in much more detail. Try one of his books if you are curious. The narration is good too.

"One of the best books I have ever listened to !!"

This book is the culmination of years of research into between lives hypnotic regression and is based on hundreds, if not thousands of accounts of real patients by a classically trained psychiatrist who did not even believe in reincarnation. When one of his patients suddenly enters a past life, the psychiatrist had to re- examine all he thought was true. Holds your interest from the firs page and never let's up. It leaves the reader yearning for more information on this. Life changing subject. It has changed my life forever- for the better This book gives us as good a peek behind the workings and organization of the Universe as I think we will ever get during life. You will not be sorry you read it !!

    "I Love Reincarnation, Unfortunately This . . ."

person comes across as a charlatan. This book ridicules the subject and possibilities of reincarnation with it's shallow handling. If you would like to reduce reincarnation to the experience of a college education then get this book. I kept thinking all of these stories he describes are the lack luster pipe dreams of a professional student—good grief! If the afterlife is this shallow, this lacking, this uninspiring then please God let my spirit expire now never to reignite. You may as well listen to someone read a printer manual as to listen to this book. Unfortunately, I think he's a fake and so are his patients. I certainly hope there's more to reincarnation than this author describes. I read "Many Lives Many Masters" and found it to be much more credible.

    "Disappointed"
What disappointed you about Destiny of Souls?

I was disappointed that the author read his notes from the various interviews. He would try and change his voice but did a awful job of making the listening reading sound like someone else. Very unconvincing and the real message was lost in the translation.

Would you be willing to try another book from Michael Newton? Why or why not?

nohis style of writing is not interesting.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment

    Any additional comments?

I stopped listening before chapter 6. This is a topic that is very dear to my heart. But I would not recommend this author.

"Years of research categorized and summarized"

When an author has spent decades researching one subject and then looks back on their work, seeking patterns and meaning by reviewing numerous case files, a reader is likely to find worthwhile information in the author's book.

This book is a great compilation of hypnotic regression explorations.

Comparing this researcher's work to others, such as Dr. Brian Weiss or Dolores Cannon, who also have put together numerous hypnotic regression cases into a series of books is even more interesting. To see the other researcher authors come up with similar cases, patterns and findings over their own years of work makes a reader think.

    "Great Book on After life..."
What did you love best about Destiny of Souls?

Great Book on after life... well written . Like it quite bit. the only thing I found bit of problem is the conversational written style, which presented each different session with his client, but I found it bit of boring at times, but overall it is a good book about afterlife...

    "Destiny of Souls"
What did you love best about Destiny of Souls?

The marvelous journey we as readers take in Destiny of Souls brings to the reader answers that we feel inherently but have never really been able to name or identify.

What did you like best about this story?

The aspects of Destiny of Souls that gives a reader insight into lives between lives is the actual case study narrations that give a voice to the otherwise unheard.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator's oddly dramatized voices of the case studies distract from what is being said in the case study. Often the narrator seems to completely miss the intended response of the person being narrated to the point of making that person sound rather ridiculous.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The definitions of spirit groups and the splitting of energy were fascinating and reassuring.

    Any additional comments?

Michael Newton's extensive research changes the perception of life and the life between lives in such a way as to redefine our own perception of existence -- the meaning of life is ours to discover on our own, the way to comprehend that meaning is given a tremendous helping hand by Newton.

    "Not quite convincing"
What did you like best about Destiny of Souls? What did you like least?

How come he never asked anyone about a date or something specific from the past lives ?
Wasn't he curios to pick a date or an event from the past and check with the history books ?
