It might seem shocking to compare our relationship with God with the notion of "dating." But with fresh insight and a deep personal spirituality, Franciscan Father Dan Horan points out that the desire, uncertainty, and love we experience in relationship with God resembles our earthly relationships. We set aside time for the people who are most important to us. Horan reminds us that St. Francis of Assisi understood and even described his relationship with God in a similar way. Drawing from the Franciscan tradition, Dating God encourages us to see St. Francis' spirituality in a new light, challenging us to reexamine our own spirituality and prayer and inviting us into more intimate relationship with our Creator.

"A fresh new voice in Christian spirituality." (James Martin, S.J., author of The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything)
"Dating God explores how to maintain a loving, lifelong relationship with God, other human beings, and all creatures - a relationship that begins with taking the time to go on a date with God." (Murray Bodo, O.F.M., author of Francis: The Journey and the Dream)
Fr. Horan is a delight to listen to. He gave such fresh insights into the spiritual life and each concept is easily applicable.
This is a great book. My only complaint is that only 1 hr and 18 minutes will download. I called the help desk but it was not resolved. For several months the title did not show up but now it is back. I cannot get it deleted in order to try to download the full over 3 hour length. It is frustrating because this is a really great book.
