I was hesitant about purchasing this audiobook so glad I did what a little golden gem it is. It’s not about religion or trying to get you to follow anything religions. To me the book was about being true to you yourself. There are lots of lovely quotes and examples of everyday living, its common sense and easy to follow. I felt so in tune with this book I was even finishing his sentence. The author’s narration is excellent. All I can say is Namaste.
This book doesn't go into great depth. However I found it entertaining and informative nonetheless.
I'd definitely listen to it again....
Very good book. Lessons of gratitude are practical and liberating. Timber Hawkye reminds readers that we have so much to be thankful for so easy to get caught up in the fast pace, media driven, power hungry world that we live in that we forget about what is truly important.
Love to read memoirs and tales of life's many journeys. Words have the power to transform our lives!
This was not my favorite book of all time but good for beginners. First step book in mindfulness and meditation. Learn Buddhist basics!

Loved it! I have re-listened at least a dozen times, and have recommended it to all of my friends, family, and health coaching clients. I don't consider myself a Buddhist, but I apply the principles I've learned from this book to my life daily.
I was told by a friend I would love this book, and really this is a great start to a new lifestyle for me. It could be applied to anyone. Very happy with it and plan to listen again.

Timber Hawkeye is clearly a genuine guy with a lovely honest and balanced approach to his subject. He is accepting of everyone and their own beliefs whilst being sharing and open about his own.
Buddhist or not, anyone would benefit from listening to this.
"the book that saved me from myself"
I love the style of Timber's writing. There's no religious dogma in this book, it's just a practical, down to earth, realistic suggestion of a peaceful and positive way of modern life. I listen to it regularly for motivation, centering and inspiration. I came across Timber Hawkeye somehow at a time in my life when I was lost. A time when I was giving my all to someone, found myself left out in the cold and wondering what was wrong with me or how I would ever get over it. Life seemed to be spiralling. Buddhist Boot Camp showed me a different way of looking at the world, a way that would remove fear, blame, guilt and negativity. Suddenly I understood and accepted and the dark cloud of anxiety lifted.
Everyone needs a Timber Hawkeye in their life. No preaching, no "conversion", no religion, no need to run off and wear robes and live in a cave! But a beautiful, inspiring way to find peace among the mad stresses of modern life. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone.

Why do we have to learn what we already know to be true from someone else...?
We are so caught up with the day to day stresses of 'normal' life, that we forget the basics and run the treadmill. This is an easy to follow book which brings you back to earth and focuses the mind on what is important. It clears away the claptrap. As we listen to the book, we know the narrative is correct and we can see how we have lost contact with common sense.
It left me grounded.
It is the sort of book you can dip into now and again when you feel the need to clear the mind of non essential concerns
Worth every penny.
