There is much of value for all Christians, even advanced Christians, in this book. It helps in many ways, such as explaining and demonstrating how to use various types of prayer. The book is very thorough, including even a section on spiritual warfare against the forces of darkness.

A very positive and delightful reading of this book by the narrator Tavia Gilbert.

A instrumental Tool for the Prayer Warrior!

After listening to Tavia G. reading of Becoming a Prayer Warrior, by Elizabeth Alves, I am making my this book a vital part as tool for prayer…. It’s a great start for any novice and experienced believer in understanding the Person, Power, Provision and Operation of prayer. I have found that my prayer walk has been extremely reinforced and enhanced by the insights that have been given with these pages/recordings! I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone interested in knowing and understanding prayer and how it helps us to commune with God/Christ in a more intimate way!

Effective book on prayer

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Maybe. I thought she spent too much time talking about why it's important to pray and not as much as she could have on how to pray.

What did you like best about this story?

Toward the end of the book, she gives a lot of examples of using the Bible to form prayers. I found that particularly helpful.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ms. Gilbert has a beautiful voice that kept me engaged. She read the book in a very reverant way that was befitting the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. This is a book you have to listen to a little at a time and think about.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed it, but I thought it was from more of a "charasmatic" background. This is not altogether a bad thing, but I would have preferred more about concentration tactics (how to focus).

Very inspired

Great Biblical principles. wonderful scripture to support principles. The readers voice was easy to listen to. I find the principles easy to implement during prayer.

Learning to pray effectively

I loved it...very informational and practical. This is so far the best book I've found on the subject of prayer.

Brilliant

There's so much I didn't learn on my own in a church setting. Opened my eyes a lot to what I was doing wrong and gave me some insight to do it on my own. It created a space in my figurative heart to understand the importance of prayer and how effective it could be.
