Escape the enemy's deadly trap! The Bait of Satan exposes one of the most deceptive snares Satan uses to get believers out of the will of God - offense. Most people who are ensnared by the bait of Satan don’t even realize it. Don’t be fooled! You will encounter offense, and it’s up to you how it will affect your relationship with God. Your response will determine your future. If offense is handled correctly, you will become stronger rather than bitter. In this tenth anniversary edition of his best-selling book, John Bevere shows you how to stay free from offense and escape the victim mentality. With more than 400,000 copies in print, this audio book includes testimonials of transformed people who have read the original book and a devotional supplement, featuring discussion questions, scriptures, and prayers. You will find answers to tough questions like these: Why am I compelled to tell “my side” of the story? How can I fight thoughts of suspicion or distrust? What can I do to stop rehearsing past hurts? How can I regain trust after someone deeply offends me? This audio book will help you escape the enemy’s “offensive trap” as well as empower you to stay free of offense, enabling you to have an unhindered relationship with God.

This book was referred to me by a friend. Actually she said to be sure to get the hard copy because the book is so full of scripture you will want to look everything up the second go around.
Yea yea-- All I seem to have time for now a days is to listen. Get it!!!!!!!!!! There is so much information on forgiveness in this book. I struggle with forgiveness period!!! I guess when I forgave I wasn't truly in my heart letting it go, if I even forgave at all. I harbored grudges and lots of anger towards those that hurt or offended me. This book showed my how NOT to do that any longer. I am now working in the right direction in being able to forgive with an open and loving heart thru God, to truly cast my burdens on Him and FORGIVE and ASK for forgiveness!!! Forgiveness helps us to grow into the people that God really wants us to become. Loving, caring, full of kindness towards others and showing honor to Him.
Any place that you are at in your life, this book will show you so much more of Gods love and understanding. God's hand will be on you as you go thru this book and He will rain down His blessings when you finally receive the true understanding of forgiveness.
Get this book. Take the time to ask God to open your heart and to feel His presence while you are listening and He will guide you. You will see and feel the change.
In God's love and forgiveness,
yes, most definitley. currently listening to it again. I want to keep fresh what I have learned and see if there is anything I missed the first time.
I could feel the annointing throughout the whole book.
sensitive to Gods voice
the whole book did, but the portion of when you justify your actions because you have been offended. when we do something, even though the bible backs us up... with what spirit, cause or reason am I doing it? vengence is mine says the lord... I finally get it.
I enjoy reading Lynn Austin's historical fiction. Her books oh the Civil are awesome as well.
This book is powerful and life changing. It is a must read for everyone who struggles with hurts. Forgiveness is necessary to go with life after one has been hurt. John did an excellent job writing this and presenting it. I highly recommend this book to everyone!
Relevance to personal situation and how easily he made it understood!
Yes, all of his teachings are relevant at one time or another.
I get a lot out of his teachings.
When it made me realise how I fell into Satan's trap!
If you are a Christian struggling in any area of you life, and you are having a hard time putting your finger on the problem (or maybe you know) read/listen to this book. It was a true gift of the Spirit. I listened to the whole of the book while on a long drive and was convicted, edified, taught and blown away! I will be buying a copy to read and reread often.
Middle of the pack
Interesting information...opened my eyes....yes, I have recommended it to others....will probably listen to again,
I think some people could gain something from this book but there are many other books that are much better out there.
Not saying this book is horrible but it defiantly didn't rub me the right way. at first i thought i didn't like the book because maybe it was something i need to hear but just didn't want to but after i finished it and prayed i realized this is not the case. The main problem i have is how self important the author is. The second is the message, i believe sometimes you will have to do stuff that isn't %100 what you want but you should never blindly obey someone just because they say God says it.
I'm a lifelong book lover.
This book tells about a very important doctrine from God's Holy Word and explains how God expects us to deal with offenses when they happen. John Bevere uses stories from his own life and from the Bible to illustrate the points of this doctrine so that we can understand how choices we make when we become offended can affect ourselves and others.
Some parts of this book are difficult to listen to and will evoke emotions that the listener will need to deal with after listening. I don't recommend listening in one sitting. I think it's best to take this book in pieces and deal with the emotions a little at a time.
Like so many of the testimonies used in this book I have to say that I like the way it points out to me places that I am baited and trapped, when I thought that I had overcome those things in my life.
I could relate to all points and examples of how offense were blocking my pathway to following Jesus
The Bait of Satan is a must read for a higher level of christian functioning in every day life. It really helps to release some of the weight we carry on our shoulders. Thank you
