Publisher's summary

Ten of the Bible's best-known femmes fatales parade across the pages of Bad Girls of the Bible with situations that sound oh-so-familiar. Eve had food issues. Potiphar’s wife and Delilah had man trouble. Lot's wife and Michal couldn’t let go of the past, Sapphira couldn’t let go of money, and Jezebel couldn't let go of anything. Yet the woman at the well had her thirst quenched at last, while Rahab and the sinful woman left their sordid histories behind. Let these bad girls show you why studying the Bible has never been more fun!

Scriptures played out

Not that God's Word need any help, the fictional stories before the actual biblical scripture stories prepares the senses (thought, visual and, emotions) for the "real deal"; story as told in the Holy Bible. I truly appreciate the author for attaching book and verse to reference (her) point of view/matter of facts/commentary.
I truly enjoyed listening to (and sometimes simultaneously reading the book) Bad Girls in the Bible and What We Can Learn From Them! This was my first Audible, I'm very pleased.

Absolutely loved the book

What did you love best about Bad Girls of the Bible?

I loved the pre-stories that brought to life in current times the bible situation. And I loved going in-depth on bible stories/characters that I've heard of, but generally don't get much attention.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked Rahab. Didn't hide from her sins, but pushed for her own redemption through courage and asking for it. And brought along her family.

Have you listened to any of Liz Curtis Higgs’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but her performance was great. So much emotion into the story, very easy and fun to listen to you.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The fictional story of Sapphira. I didn't know the bible story, and it was a shocking reminder of how important honesty and putting God first are.

Any additional comments?

Will be re-reading the book with my bible study group and I can't wait. Bought the paperback so I can follow along with the bible study questions better.
