Publisher's summary

Everybody has one. It's called a "haunt detector". It's the little alarm that goes off in our heads whenever we detect that something mysterious or supernatural has occurred. You could be sitting around relaxing one day at home, and for no special reason you start thinking about someone. Maybe you haven't thought about this person in years. Then the phone rings; you pick it up, and amazingly, it's that person! Many of us have experienced this phenomenon. What is it?

Anthony DeStefano answers this compelling question in his fascinating new book, The Invisible World. No matter how little we may understand or how fleeting such moments can be, he explains the reality of the spiritual dimension that surrounds us and shows how it is immediately accessible to everyone. All aspects of the spiritual realm are discussed, including the existence of angels and demons, the whereabouts of loved ones who have passed, and even the presence and activity of God in our lives. Written to be completely consistent with traditional Christian teaching, The Invisible World will help listeners embrace a certitude that makes it easier to act according to their moral beliefs. It will also give them a greater sense of the richness of life and show them that no amount of suffering - physical, mental, or emotional - will ever be able to destroy the profound sense of inner peace that can be experienced on a daily basis.

For those seeking reassurance about meaning in their life, nothing is more significant than to be reminded that no one is alone. In The Invisible World, Anthony DeStefano shows the truth of this in a captivating and inspiring way.

Critic reviews

"I may not always agree with Anthony DeStefano, but there is no doubt he is a highly intelligent and witty writer; and assuming the existence of an invisible world, he has produced a very interesting and thought-provoking book about spirituality." (Vincent Bugliosi, author of Divinity of Doubt: The God Question and Helter Skelter)
"Angels, devils, and grace? DeStefano makes them almost visible. This is a wonderful, compelling book, completely consistent with traditional Christian teaching and common sense - and very, very readable." (Fred BarnesExecutive Editor, The Weekly Standard)
"With terrific, inflected characters, and a dark, subtle sense of place and history, The Ranger is an exceptional novel." (John Sandford)
"One of the best crime writers at work today." (Michael Connelly)

Simplistic

What would have made The Invisible World better?

This book can be summed up with the following insight: God is good, the Devil is bad. The author doesn't appear to be familiar with modern textual criticism (analysis of the early Greek and Coptic Bibles) and misquotes Christ on the cross, appears to take the Adam and Eve story literally (um, evolution?) and is not up to date on recent advances in neuroscience, particularly in the areas of choice and the

What was most disappointing about Anthony DeStefano’s story?

This is written at or below an eighth grade level.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Anthony DeStefano?

I enjoyed Mr. DeStefano's enthusiasm, it's the only thing that kept me listening. He sounds like a genuine person. However, he has a Philadelphia/Jersey accent and says

The Invisible World: understanding Angels, Demons

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Eveyone who doesn't know God of the Bible should read it. It will open their spiritual eyes.

What other book might you compare The Invisible World to and why?

The Bible: The Invisible World is based on the Bible.

What does Anthony DeStefano bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I am a long time Christian and well versed in the Bible. The story does not go beyond the Bible, so there's nothing particular that I experienced newly.

If you could give The Invisible World a new subtitle, what would it be?

The Invisible Reality

Any additional comments?

Anthony DeStefano is very faithful to the Bible. I hope this book will be used among the people who do not know God to find the true God.

Mediocre

Would you try another book from Anthony DeStefano and/or Anthony DeStefano?

Based on his delivery and style I would not buy another book by this author.

What could Anthony DeStefano have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I think a different narrator could have helped bring this book to life, the author lacked the ability to engage the listener.

Amazingly Accurate

This is my first written review for an Audible book. I decided to write it because I was completely amazed at how this book was written. I did not expect to find all that I found in this one book. First off, I know that angels exist without a doubt. Eversince I finished another Audible book called Angels In My Hair, I have been wanting to hear more about other people's experiences with angels, and then this title popped up. I listened to the sample, and decided to add it to my library. I am so amazed at how the author covered topics not only relating to angels, but to God and faith. He explained in detail a lot of things that I've always felt and wondered about, but never expected for someone to actually put them into words. For some reason, whenever I start listening to wherever I stopped the last time, it would go into a topic that was currently happening to me. To the author, I'd say God has put His grace upon you while writing this book. Thank you for being an instrument for us who needed to hear and see what we must.

This 'story' tells the picture. A must read.

Fellow sojourners, every picture tells a story, and then comes along a story that reveals the picture.

Anthony's writing style, along with his doing the narration, is an easy to hear delivery with story telling ease. The best part is that since he wrote the book and does the read, the emphasis and inflection is of the authors intent.

I suppose the level of interest may depend on where you are in your life experience.

To get what is going on beyond the seen, heard and known, a must read (listen).

Learn about the invisible. This book answers the question and settles any doubt to what is beyond the visible...clearly.
