Adoniram Judson: Bound for Burma (Christian Heroes: Then & Now)

As America's first foreign missionary, Adoniram Judson (1788-1850) spent 38 years working in Burma, then one of the most hostile countries on Earth. Today, over 150 years after his death, his translation remains the only translation of the Bible in Burmese.

    "Very inspiring"

Reading Adoniram Judson's biography definitely caused a perspective shift in my life. It's hard to imagine the suffering and loss this missionary endured and persevered through to complete his vision for the Burmese people. His translation of the Bible to this people group is still influential in translation ministry today. He accepted the call and sacrificed himself to fulfill it.
