The Heart is a Great Guide

A Path with Heart: A Guide Through the Perils and Promises of Spiritual Life by Jack Kornfield is a very good supplemental tool for those already on a spiritual path of learning. I most enjoyed the meditation techniques which are presented with loving care and detail. The author is the perfect person to present his own material because his voice has the warmth and wisdom that are contained in his words. Fans of the author will find many familiar themes and stories here. I would recommend this only to people who are already familiar with the author's work. This is too simplistic for those who are new to the path.

Not the same that the paper copy

Amazing book, i loved his teachings and the delivery was so easy to follow, now my only complain is that it is not the same that the paper copy. It would be really useful to have this distinction clear.

Changed my life

This book has changed my life and I come back to it often. I experienced a great deal of spiritual trauma and loss. Jack’s teachings brought me to a place of renewed hope and solidarity 🙏

Very insightful book.

I love the performance of this book. Jack Kornfield talks with such peaceful pace that I instantly feel calmer and more focused. I’ve listened to it three times already. It might feel a bit simplistic for those who are already familiar with meditation and the Buddhist path but I always recommend it for the beginners and also the ones that just might need a few advices in life.

A flawless Diamond; a great, brief, spiritual treasure

What an incredible and very profound, yet brief explanation of the correct path for a proper spiritual life. Most will discover, this is obviously a true gem and needs the most thoughtful consideration, for at least a hundred times.

I definitely will read/listen to many more of his works, to be sure. May love & happiness, peace and joy be with you forever, wherever you are. (Also, I must say, that I have seen your photograph and completely agree with H.H. the Dali Lama: please gain some weight! — I hope you will live to be a VERY long life; you’ve got so very much to teach, a suffering and needy world!)

Wonderful

I have listened to this audio book once and know I will listen to it again. As a writer of spiritual books myself I’d recommend any of Jack’s works. From quotes from Zen master Dogen to Jack’s own insights his voice guides the listener through this collection of spiritual teachings.
