The tower has fallen. Survivors are scattered, scrambling to find safety and each other. The rest of the world comes into view as the threats continue to evolve. Elements of strength and hope start to emerge - but at what cost?
We’re Alive: Season 3 features 12 chapters packing performances and sound effects that rival movies and prove that modern audio drama is undead and well. Join our survivors as they band together, struggle to fortify a safe haven, and discover that zombies are far from the worst thing in a postapocalyptic world where the rules of human decency no longer apply.
Little food, little water, little hope - who is lucky enough to say, "We’re alive"?

"We’re Alive is a modern rendition of an old-school medium. Maintaining a style that is both retro and contemporary, the radio drama will give horror fans the campy, kitschy style they like, but it also provides a variety of characters and development to keep general audiences engaged.… Despite not being able to see the action, the excitement and intensity is still sustained through score and sound design. In some ways, the lack of visuals to accompany the audio creates more suspense. The narrator controls how much the audience knows, slowly teasing out information. Accompanying the drama are sparse moments of comedic relief.… Expressing a keen awareness of the zombie subgenre, many of the jokes come from familiar scenarios and tropes of zombie stories." I would have loved to give the book, and the series an additional star, but the constant bickering between the majority of all the main characters is just a little too much. I can appreciate the stress and fear that would go along with a zombie apocalypse but the way the characters bicker back and forth comes off as very immature and childish. The story and the performances are pretty good and I do like the original take on the zombie apocalypse, so if you can get past the bickering and have a credit burning a hole in your pocket this is a decent selection.
I've listened to the podcast since the beginning and still say it's worth every credit to get this fantastic story in this format. Much easier to listen to without all the breaks that you get in the podcast. The story and performance? Couldn't be better!
I REALLY hope someone follow in the footsteps of this ground breaking audio drama/theater! It's epic!!
Spay, neuter, adopt, and train. Don't buy, surrender, or breed. Be a good person and carry a weapon just in case.
Much better then 2nd book. Still a bit all over the place for my taste. Getting a bit confusing about the different creatures that are emerging now. Hopefully the next installment will clear up.
The voices of the characters were very engaging. I really lover Butts character!
The time when Lizzie and Angel burry themselves under the corpses in the hockey arena. Crazy cool!
Everyone was very well performed. Several voices were similar and made it feel as if more than one character was being performed by the same actor.
Not moved... Just simply made me want to keep listening all night long without stoping! I love it. Please make season two 2 available.
Please please please make season 2 available. I won't purchase three untill I listen to season two!
Ill keep this short. The third season is way better than season 2. Great set up for season 4. I call this a decent story and it will definitely entertain the listener. But i could use some more zombies. Where did they come from and why?!!
All of the season are amazing. Great job to the team. Can't wait for the next season.A movie would be Awesome!
Also listened to War Z. The voice acting on these series are far better.
Burt and Chinwe are my favorite. Hope they come back and kick more butt. Scratch really did a good job getting under your skin.Everyone else also did an amazing job. Hats off to everyone.
The characters are pretty believable. Despite the idea that they were not the smartest survivors. They had a lot of luck to make it through.
You guys are at the top of my list for survival audio drama. Thank you for cutting my 6hr daily commute down.
I'm a truck driver that loves Audible! It is a wonderful way to "read" all the books I want to, with out having to stop working!
GREAT ZOMBIE STORY! I found this podcast originally on Audible when they put season 1 on audible without the commercials that are in the podcast. I listened to season 3 as the podcast because they didn't have it up on audible yet. Now that they have it, I'm listening to it the 2nd time and it's even better!
The last chapter when the characters are fighting 2 fronts and it seems they are going to loose. It's an amazing story and I can't wait to hear the 4th and last season!
I had listen to this cast's performance in the other two season's of We're Alive. The cast is very awesome and you seem to get a mind's picture of each character, what they look like and their personality.
Yes! But, you just can't do it in my field unless you are on a very good stretch of highway with not a lot of traffic and no stops.
Like I said before, I can't wait til they start the 4th season this fall, and I'll listen to the podcast, but I'll purchase it again when it becomes available on Audible. Thanks Audible!
"A true zombie series"
Seasons one and two were amazing, season three is even better, with newer zombies and old threats returning, this is the best season so far, if you've not listened to any of them before, do yourself a favour and get the first two seasons now, you won't be disappointed, with a full vocal cast its a throw back to the days of the old style radio plays, like war of the worlds.
