Critic reviews

“We’re Alive is a modern rendition of an old-school medium…. Despite not being able to see the action, the excitement and intensity is still sustained through score and sound design." (Examiner.com)

I SAY WE START BITING BACK

HE'S STILL POUTING
SHE DOESN'T GET IT
EVERYONE NEEDS TO GRIEVE
YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT
This second season is like most second books in a trilogy, just filler. We ended last season with the building on fire and our heroes under attack. The first half hour is taken up with the fight scene and putting out the fire. After that is all bickering and complaining. I understand that this is what would most likely happen in real life, but it does not make for interesting listening. The bickering and infighting along with everything that is explained in excruciating detailed, irritated the hell out of me. I also have to ask where are the Zombies? This is an apocalyptic story involving Zombies, right. In the first four episodes you can count the zombies on one hand. That is as far as I made it.

Production
When zombies do appear they sound like Godzilla. The old Vietnam Vet sounds like The Thing of The Fantastic Four. Just a couple of things I realize once I got Irritable. Get season one, it is great, but skip season 2.

I'M HOOKED!!!

This book is so damn good, it should come with a warning. There's no way you can listen to the first season and not crave more.

The second season picks up right where the first one ended. The story gers better. New characters are introduced, and of course all the old favorites are back.

Best production EVER.

Characters are inconsistent

Worth a listen, but honestly, Sgt Michael Cross must have been the luckiest soldier in history to survive two tours of duty. He makes a lot of stupid decisions. As far as his role in military intelligence, the bar must have been lowered significantly.

Not much on zombies, but a decent story/show.

Zombies are a tertiary part of this story. Its mostly about the human/living characters struggles with each other. We still don't know the cause of the zombie outbreak, or how there are different kinds of zombies, ie; big zombies, small zombies, and then the zombies that can bellow so loud you hear them throughout the whole city. No clue where they came from or how they came to be.

If you can get past those minor annoyances, this is a really entertaining listen. I would recommend it to others.

Great simply great

I’m really getting into the series the first one was definitely intriguing but the second installment definitely brought the story together and you can really feel the anxiety of what the characters go through during the duration of this book

Kalani was a good dude, made up for Hope's Mother's death. A must listened book. Heart felt and love the characters. I cried too.
