A fourth series of thrillingly dark adventures.
Pilgrim, cursed with immortality by the King of the Greyfolk, is forced to walk between the human world and the world of Faerie in a never-ending quest to preserve the uneasy balance between the two. In 'Mullerby Fair', armed with a secret weapon, he can finally challenge Mr Speed who has stolen generations of brides from one family. 'Tregarrah Head' sees him separating devoted parents from their strange new changeling baby, while in 'Wedlowe Sound' he must put a giant to sleep. Finally, in 'Bleaker Lake', he hopes to locate Merlin and put an end, at least to the war of attrition with Birdie, at best to his own immortality. Hard tasks at the best of times, but Pilgrim must also contend with the relentless malice of the sorceress Mrs Pleasance and the devious cunning of the King of the Greyfolk himself.
Written by Sebastian Baczkiewicz. Directed by Marc Beeby and Jessica Dromgoole.

"Wonderful and enthralling"
This is a radio series, there is no print version.
The continuation of the story of William Palmer.
The acting is superb. Again, there is no print version.
This is a series I enjoy listening to in one sitting.
Where on earth is Series 3? So far you have brought us Series 1; Series 2, in bits; Series 3 has disappeared without trace; Series 4 is present, and Series 5 has just concluded on BBC Radio 4. This series is so good and wonderfully original, that I would hope to have all of it in my Audible collection. What is going on with the Audible team?
"A TRULY GREAT LISTEN"
All the characters are brought to life by the superb cast and their narration.
With this series you get to discover even more about William Palmer's back story.
Any scene where William's wisdom see's him succeed in the present day even though he originates from 900 years ago.
As others have pleaded.... where is Series 3???
"Brilliant, inventive, mesmerising!"
This is the fourth volume in the PILGRIM series. As with all of them, the writing is extraordinary and the performances convincing and engrossing. These plays represent absolutely some of the best writing around today. If you enjoy myth and legend then the richness and creativity of these will not disappoint.
"BBC radio 4 at its best.... The 4th installment"
I don't know why series 3 isn't available.. You can't get it for love nor money, not even on BBC purchases direct. That aside, another great set of Pilgrim stories. I hope there will be more to come... . If you like Tolkien style books set in modern times, this will be for you.
