    "A great show"

I love this show. Series one introduces the Prof, as well as Scum Spawn and Thomas Crimp and the Devil himself. Following the adventures of Satan as he tries to convince the Professor that Hell is not just an illusion caused by a coma, each episode is full of gags and topical humour.

Some of the jokes may be a little dated but 9 out 10 hit the mark even today.

An absolute joy to listen to and cant wait to get the rest of this series.

The genius of Andy Hamilton. There are seven series and a Christmas special, all absolutely first class. Superbly witty, brilliantly performed, a must-have for the collection.

    "Leaves You Wanting More"

It's Andy Hamilton's clever, and understated, humour.

Its unpretentious style means that you don't have to stress about missing a line or two, it still works.

I was disappointed that I couldn't find more audiobooks by Andy Hamilton - hope they have made some since.

    "Old Harry at his best"
Would you consider the audio edition of Old Harry's Game to be better than the print version?

Outstanding first series of comic genius Andy hamiltons comedy series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Without doubt the Devil played by Mr Hamilton is the best character of the in the book.

What does Andy Hamilton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

His dry wit and sharp humour.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it in one sitting!

    Any additional comments?

I will have no hesitation to buy second series

    "What A Game Harry's Is!"

Along with Cabin Pressure, Old Harry's game is one of the most superlative comedies to grace any format. Andy Hamilton's writing is pin sharp, satirical, and full of marvellous imagery. It is even, on occasion, incredibly touching.

Special note must be made of the performance of James Grout; his initial descent to hell, confrontation with God, and his reactions to his wife are all stand-out moments in this series. Similarly Jimmy Mulville is perfectly odious as Thomas Quentin Crisp.

This is the ideal start to this show, I guarantee that you will be unable to stop at simply one series!

    "OLD HARRY GAME PART1"

I enjoyed this series on the radio. It is wonderful to be able to listen to it over and over and pick up the jokes which I have missed. There is always something new each time I listen. The humour is wide ranging and hits out at many aspects of modern life.

    "Diabolically Funny"

Having heard this first on Radio 4 I was delighted to find it on Audible. Hell may not at first seem to be the the best setting for a comedy series, but Andy Hammilton revels in his role of Satan. Listen time and time again and you will find something new each time and if like me listening to it on a train, you may get strange looks when you find yourself laughing out loud. So go on don't be afraid, indulge your darker side!
