Audible Editor Reviews

The music of Johann Sebastian Bach recorded at Melk Abbey's cathedral, played throughout this engaging and informative audiobook, places the listener inside the hallowed walls of Austria's world-famous monastic site.

Museum representatives Maria Fruler and Cherish Dieter lead Travel Radio International's Patricia L. Lawrence on a guided tour through this UNESCO World Heritage site, built in the early 10th century, that has miraculously endured countless wars.

Fruler and Dieter's vast knowledge and Lawrence's thoughtful and inquisitive tone make this 30-minute audiobook a fascinating listen.

"Hear the tour now; see in person soon"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was okay. It was a quick story about a place I intend to visit.

Would you be willing to try another book from Patricia L. Lawrence? Why or why not?

    Not necessarily.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    For what it was, yes.

Could you see Melk Abby on the Danube, Austria being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. It is currently a tourist attraction. This was a tour narration and not a story.

    Any additional comments?

Could have been better but for the price and the fact I will see it soon, it was worth the price of admission.
