    "Addictive"
Where does McLevy: Complete Series 4 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best series of detective fiction I have listened to so far. The whole series of books is addictive as you want to know what happens next to McLevy. The characters are sympathetic and you get a real sense of Victorian Edinburgh.

Who was your favorite character and why?

McLevy is definitely my favourite character.

Which character – as performed by Brian Cox – was your favourite?

Brian Cox has a wonderful voice and he gets the full sense of McLevy across. You get a true sense of someone who loves the people he is around but can't show it and has a very strong sense of justice. He played a similar character in Morse but unfortunately he was the murderer in that instance.but you still get the same sense that McLevy would bend the rules if he felt that justice would be served. Shades of a Victorian "Frost".

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This was a book that I just listened to in one sitting and then I just wanted to listen to the next in the series and then the next etc.

    Any additional comments?

    Would recommend to anyone.
