    "Charlie Rose"

I have tried most of the daily or weekly selections on Audible and this is by far the best. Charlie Rose is the best interviewer and has the most interesting guests of anyone in the media.

"The Best Subscription Value By Far"

First--They've fixed the one-week delay, and now the broadcast can be heard by the next day!

Second--For those who aren't aware of Charlie Rose, he is the best interviewer I know of right now. Even if you've never heard of him, you recognize his PBS show by his minimalist black set with a wooden table.

What makes Rose's spartan show so interesting is his ability to ask deep questions--insightful ones that interviewers rarely get to but listeners want to hear the answers to.

The other great aspect is his range of dynamic guests--from Hollywood actors and directors to politicians, architects, Harvard professors, CEOs, diplomacy pundits, rock stars, authors, etc. They're all interesting. Or are they boring people who are only interesting because they are answering thoughtful, probing questions from Rose? I'm not sure. Anyway, it's a great conversation.

It's a good show, you get five hours/wk, and you feel smarter while being entertained. It's the best Audible has to offer right now in my opinion, even more so than C-SPAN's Booknotes (Hey, C-SPAN's Booknotes is good, I'm not even kidding here). Go for it and see.

    "As Good as it Gets"

Charlie Rose is the most engaging interviewer with the most interesting guests on American television. Full stop. Little of his deft style and the dynamic of interchanges with his guests is lost in the audio-only format. Simply, he is too articulate to leave to gestures what could be accomplished with words. Moreover, his non-confrontational approach naturally lends itself to audio.

The range of guests appearing on his show is impressive: executives, artists, academics, diplomats, the list goes on. All of these guests not only are at the top of their fields, but each has something very, very interesting to say. And, of course, Charlie Rose brings it out in spades!

His approach is much more analytical than typical broadcast interviewers. He fully rejects the sound-bite, for-or-against bias to which we have become accustomed in the press. For my money, he is the model to which broadcast interview journalism should strive.

Now that Audible has sorted out the broadcast delay issue (now offering day-after-the-broadcast service), there is no reason not to try this show!

"Charlie Rose is great for news-worthy interviews!"

You can count of Charlie Rose for intelligent, thought-provoking interviews. My favorites are the guests who are frequently involved in national and world affairs. They provide great insight and perspective on what we read in the morning papers. If you aren't familiar with Charlie Rose, this is definitely worth a listen!

    "An Excellent Program"

Charlie Rose on Audible is a fantastic program. There is a delay, however it is not as if he is reporting the news! He interviews a wide range of characters who are relevant to current events. I have been listening for some time now and only twice have I found the information outdated. It would be nice to get the shows faster, however it is really not that big of a deal. As far as most of the interviews he does they are still relevant 3 months later, when I might listen to them again. Lets all just enjoy Audible!

    "Great Guests, Smelly Rose"

Charlie has this amazing way of getting wonderful guests and an equally special talent for interrupting them just as they're about to say something great. He loves to agree with the people he agrees with and insult those he doesn't by dismissing their views completely or blowing them off. Granted, he gives them a voice at least- until he cuts them off. Unfortunately, C-Span Booknotes was dropped for Rose, so it's my only choice. Like Rose himself, Audible doesn't seem to like competition.
