Stephanie Cole, Benedict Cumberbatch & Roger Allam star in the fourth series of the hit sitcom about the tiny charter airline for whom no job is too small, but many, many jobs are too difficult. By John Finnemore (The News Quiz, Mitchell & Webb).
Run by the forbidding divorcée Carolyn Knapp-Shappey (an unfortunate marriage, namewise, but in Carolyn's opinion, marginally better than Carolyn Shappey-Knapp), her two pilots are the smooth, experienced and almost-certainly-fired-by-a-big-airline-for-all-round naughtiness Douglas, and struggling almost-competent pilot and sweaty man Martin.
All-round help is provided by Carolyn's near-idiot son, Arthur...

This was great fun. I will be purchasing other instalments of the series.
This is not dry British humor, not the daft Benny Hill kind of silliness. Just clever scripts, great performances, and lots of laughs.
I love this series. The interactions between the characters are excellent and the personalities mesh perfectly. I was laughing out loud at many of the scenes, particularly when they played the "fizz buzz" game. There is also a cliffhanger at the end of this season so I need to get season five!!
Oh what a great audio, 30 minute segments funny as can be. Quick easy listen when short on time. Just be careful, people will look at you funny when you laugh out loud.
It took a bit to get into the story, but then I enjoyed it very much. At first it was just snappy dialogue, but then deeper aspects of the characters begin to emerge.
In terms of making me laugh out loud - nearly the top. Only beaten by other CP series.
Not nearly as good as it was on the radio.
Great performance great story great book. And a good story listen in the car.And anywhere. Love it my self
Top notch comedy
Maybe Clare in the Community?
All of them
The lemon is in play!
Consistently funny and good to listen to multiple times.
The best comedy ever written. So funny and precise down to the last technical detail. You must get this book
The whole series had me bursting into laughter so often that I must have looked like a complete loony to my fellow commuters. I keep revisiting it whenever I need cheering up of the audio kind.
I Love all of the Cabin Pressure Audiobooks, so much so that I listen to them regularly and still laugh -yellow car- at the jokes. All of the actors are believable and the plot for each episode is well written. Well done John Finnemore and team! 😃
More Cabin Pressure - Brilliant!
Lord no! You need to savour it! You should devour it in one go! There are only so many episodes you know!
Very silly comedy. Gentle, fruity voices, great characters. Love it!
"As brilliant as ever."
What do you expect? It's Cabin Pressure! It's brilliant!
I laugh out loud with embarrassing regularity. I shall weep if it ends.
Cabin Pressure I stumbled across by accident. But it makes me laugh everything I listen to it and would highly recommend too all!!
John Finnermore is a fabulous writer!
"A new radio classic"
John Finnemore has now created a radio rival to TV's Fawlty Towers. What a Brilliant fizz buzz of a show.
