Stephanie Cole, Benedict Cumberbatch & Roger Allam star in the fourth series of the hit sitcom about the tiny charter airline for whom no job is too small, but many, many jobs are too difficult. By John Finnemore (The News Quiz, Mitchell & Webb).
Run by the forbidding divorcée Carolyn Knapp-Shappey (an unfortunate marriage, namewise, but in Carolyn's opinion, marginally better than Carolyn Shappey-Knapp), her two pilots are the smooth, experienced and almost-certainly-fired-by-a-big-airline-for-all-round naughtiness Douglas, and struggling almost-competent pilot and sweaty man Martin.
All-round help is provided by Carolyn's near-idiot son, Arthur...

Hilarious program; after I discovered Cabin Pressure I had to binge on the entire series it did a great job with facts related to a corporate pilot's lifestyle and issues, which especially amused me. Someone really did their fact-checking. He cast is wonderful and captures each character flawlessly. The only complaint I have is that there aren't any more episodes to download.
Retired "Okie" librarian & happy to have found Audible for good stories & staying in touch with new authors & books.
A series of quick short stand alone stories. Each story with the same main characters. Fast dialogue and witty. Clean language, I enjoyed it, l feel it is suitable for all ages that enjoy comedy.
Very funny!! It really pulls you into the lives of these people and you care for them- even though they are a little crazy and I'm not sure I would want to fly on their plane!
This was great fun. I will be purchasing other instalments of the series.
This is not dry British humor, not the daft Benny Hill kind of silliness. Just clever scripts, great performances, and lots of laughs.
I love this series. The interactions between the characters are excellent and the personalities mesh perfectly. I was laughing out loud at many of the scenes, particularly when they played the "fizz buzz" game. There is also a cliffhanger at the end of this season so I need to get season five!!
Oh what a great audio, 30 minute segments funny as can be. Quick easy listen when short on time. Just be careful, people will look at you funny when you laugh out loud.
It took a bit to get into the story, but then I enjoyed it very much. At first it was just snappy dialogue, but then deeper aspects of the characters begin to emerge.
"10 stars if possible"
Just excellent.......finnemore is SO clever a writer and pitch perfect performances of his clever script make this a delight .
enjoyable to the end, here's hoping more to come. cast all excellent and work well together.
I love cabin pressure, although I am only 11 I still love it!
I really like episode 6, but I have heard it many times!
Just joyful. Silly and funny. Well written and quick witted in places. Now for the other series...
...as Arthur would say. Brilliantly written, brilliantly performed. One I have listened to again and again. Audible doesn't get better than this.
Very witty and surprisingly easy to understand (10+) this is structured very well and you never know what is going to happen next!
I would recommend this to anyone who has a good sense of humour and wants a bit of fun in their can trips.
"Best radio show ever"
This show has provided me with great quotes. It keeps me laughing no matter how many times I have listened to it. Fantastic cast who you feel as if you really know. Highly recommend it.
"Destined to be a classic"
The series just gets funnier with each playing as the characters become more familiar. British comedy at it's best.
In terms of making me laugh out loud - nearly the top. Only beaten by other CP series.
Not nearly as good as it was on the radio.
Great performance great story great book. And a good story listen in the car.And anywhere. Love it my self
