Ms. Attkisson left CBS News in March after more than 20 years at the network. She discusses her reasons for leaving CBS, the changing face of network news, her current work for the Heritage Foundation’s new media outlet – The Daily Signal - as well as her upcoming book Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington. The interview provides a nice preview of many of the issues addressed in Sharyl Attkisson's book about her time with CBS and her decision to leave the network.
Brian Lamb has an interviewing style that illicits substantive answers and he does not have an obvious agenda or bias on the subject matter.
Sharyl Attkisson's desire for unbiased investigative reporting was not a good fit at CBS News.
This was a well-spent and illuminating 59 minutes.
