Bret and Amy Baier’s son Paul was born in 2007. On the day after he was born, doctors told the couple “If your son doesn’t have surgery within the next two weeks, he’s not going to make it.” He discusses his son’s condition, the 3 open heart surgeries he has had, the 8 angioplasties, the medical staff and families they met and keep in touch with from the Children’s National Medical Center. He also talks about his career and current job at Fox, the perceptions of the network, and what role it plays in the media landscape. [Broadcast Date: June 2, 2014]
