"David Threfall's voice IS easy listening"
The voice of David Trefall is so nice to listen to. All the characters are believable and has a gently humour as well a good story. The stories are not complex so I can cook whilst listening and keep up!
The Brother Cadfael series because the narrator has a lovely voice. The stories and images they conjure up are rich and interesting.
His voice and pace of perfect. It does not annoy me as some of the narrators do. He's English and I prefer to listen to English rather than American narrators.
"Cosy enough to entertain, dark enough to sustain.."
Baldi ranks among my favourite crime radio dramas.
Engaging characters and high-concept storylines.
The two main characters are consistently entertaining and have a great sparky relationship.
I generally listen to an entire series in one go when I download them.
I recommend Baldi for fans of Agatha Christie or even Agatha Raisin.
"Sun brilliance - Worth buying"
The acting and atmosphere of this series is brilliant. Get it now and all the other baldi series.
"Very enjoyable easy listen"
My first introduction to the Father Baldi series and I love it! Simon Brett is one of the writers and if you have enjoyed the Charles Paris series or the Fethering mysteries I'm sure you will enjoy these. David Threlfall is excellent as Paolo Baldi and these are perfect for a quick easy listen. My only complaint is that the sound is a little variable which can be annoying.
