Story
More than 15 years ago, Tamar Geller began her career as a dog trainer by observing a scientific study of wolves in the wild. She realized that the socialization and parenting techniques they used to raise their cubs were rooted in bonding, communication, and play: not in aggression, dominance, or punishment. If people used these techniques when training their dogs, she realized, there would be no need for prong collars, choke chains, or any kind of physical or verbal aggression.

Not Puggle Specific
While the advice this book provides is not bad in general, virtually none of it is specifically catered to Puggles. It seems obvious to me that this book was written for all breeds in general, and then only minor changes were made for each breed. There were numerous times where the author referred to Puggles as "large" dogs, and even once referred to them by the name of a completely different breed all together! Again, it's not bad as a general dog book, but don't expect much if anything helpful specifically to Puggle owners.
