Love this series

Easy read, though you need to already be an eventer/dressage rider to get a lot of the references. Recommended for 18+, but okay for older high schoolers too. I'm an elder adult and found much of this to be riveting. I can't wait to start to next one! The narration was as flawless as ever. I'm grateful to everyone who made this series happen. It's my favorite form of escape!

what a phenomenal ending to a great series
10/10 what a great keystone to this epic series. I do hope that we get a story with Jules' next chapter in her life but I can settle for this fantastic ending.

You MUST try this series!
I absolutely love the majority of this authors' work and highly recommend to both YA and horse lovers of ALL ages. NKR has a wide area of equine expertise and, for me, that makes the stories so much more readable and enjoyable when all of the horse details (equipment, riding, showing, behavior, etc.) is spot on and doesn't distract from the stories themselves.
If you can still read print, whether hard copy or digital, I highly recommend you buy EVERY single thing this author has produced.
My eyesight is fading and I'm driving 8-10 hours a week to the barn. I've been listening to AUDIBLE for years and was thrilled when this series was finally offered.
BUT... I was so VERY disappointed that the reader didn't do 30 minutes of preparation to learn how to pronounce certain words and phrases from the equine world. I find it so distracting while listening to the story. PLEASE won't you have a talk with your performer or get one willing to do their homework?

Narrator: Learn how to say equestrian terms correctly!
This narrator should have done some research on how to say eventing locations - made my hair stand on end saying “Berg-ly” for Berghly - it’s pronounced Bur-Lee ! And the World Equestrian Games? No dear it’s not w-e-g sounding out each letter 🤦♀️ it’s WEG you idiot! The story even said it was an acronym
I keep listening to this series even though the main character is beyond narcissistic and selfish - always thinking the worst of people - I keep thinking one day she will be a good person
