But as the decade came to a close, the A's were in free fall, having lost 108 games in 1979 while drawing just 307,000 fans. a fun peek into the mind of one of the Greats!
I loved hearing Matty's baseball insights and secrets, and iI love his humble and witty style! I am going to look for the other books he wrote next!

great stuff
dated yes, but a treat for any baseball fan. so much has changed in the game yet so much is the same. puts cheating scandals in perspective for sure
