Publisher's summary

If you want to discover the captivating history of Pearl Harbor, then pay attention...

The attack of the US Pearl Harbor Naval Base changed the entire progress of World War II, and as a result, it was a very formative event both for the United States and Japan. Though the two nations seemed unlikely enemies at the onset of the Second Great War, bloodshed between them would be greater than anyone could have imagined. The future of the world at large was changed on December 7, 1941, when the Empire of Japan chose to make a preemptive strike on its most feared Pacific neighbor, the United States of America.

liked the audiobook and the report

Much of the knowledge provided was once classified and explains many of the difficulties that enabled the attack to take place. Any serious student of Pearl Harbor should add this audiobook to his or her library.

A Captivating Guide

An excellent audiobook on a principal issue in our nation's history. Need known if you are taken in WWII. Definitively plants to rest any plot ideas about what lead to the attack.

Wow!

It gives detailed knowledge of the actions of the leaders in Hawaii and their superiors in Washington. You get to see how faults, assumptions, and misunderstandings began to the disaster.

Enchanting, Masterful Storytelling

The story is engaging, and I highly suggest this audible. The characters come alive with their characters in a complex chess game, not understanding what they were dealing with with the Japanese. They sensed something was going to fall but didn't predict where or when and didn't catch visible signs.

Great audible

This confirmed to be an entirely satisfying audiobook about the human description of the twelve days up to the attack on Pearl Harbor. The writer delivers you back to that time and puts you into the shoes of each character, both American and Japanese.

Especially insightful

It was a pretty exciting story Pearl Harbor - Final decision is a behind the scenes view of the War Department's efforts to address losses in the separate Army and Navy commands that studied the failures prior and on December 7, 1941.

Powerful, Masterful Storytelling

The depth of the research that went into this audible must have been exhaustive, but it's thoroughness, skill and the results the writer was able to come to open up an entirely new view of why Pearl Harbor followed.

Well done

Excellent job! I was not informed of the deliberate deception foisted on the public by the first "true" Pearl Harbor report. The result of effort spent by Captivating Guide in achieving his mission might be false -- without for the affidavits/acceptance of the various interviewees.
