Publisher's summary

With his wedding behind him, Fred is looking forward to nightly life finally settling down. Unfortunately, someone from his past has other, far less peaceful, plans in mind.

Finding his clan under attack, Fred must scramble to discover who is working against him and how to fight back. Between securing shelter, trading favors, and keeping up with his accounting business, it won’t be easy to stay out of trouble; let alone uncover the identity of his adversary.

Faced with an enemy who has no interest in diplomacy, Fred and his friends will have to make hard choices if they want to survive. Choices that could forever change The House of Fred.

If only I could have disabled the music…

Much of this dramatization was great but the music was over the top and ruined the experience for me. if I could have more easily swapped this for the non-dramatized version, I would have.

Fred is coming into his own.

After some time, and many adventures, Fred is beginning to grasp the full implications of his role and decisions.

If you read any 2 of the previous titles in this series, you should go ahead and commit to reading the rest as they are all great. This one has early events that will frustrate you but Fred holds true surprises throughout.

As is the case with Fred, there are multiple adventures in this one book.

Now if we could just get Mr. Hayes to give us another "Broken Bridge" installment ;-)

Great story, poor editing, still worth it

Another great Fred book! We get more Gideon/ Sally content, which is my favorite side story. It does not disappoint. It's also really nice to see Asha coming into her own as a vampire. Fred is starting to understand leadership and Prudence plays a big role in this book.

I think this was the worst edited graphic audio of the series. Great performances from the actors, but some of the music choices were really bad and took me out of the story.
