Publisher's summary

Gabby St. Claire knows how to clean up scum. She can get blood out of carpet, pick shattered bones from plaster, and clean less-than-enticing fluids from nearly any surface. St. Claire also knows how to clean up another kind of scum - the scum of the earth.

Crime scene cleaner and wannabe forensic investigator Gabby St. Claire knows her best friend, Sierra, isn't guilty of killing three people in what appears to be an ecoterrorist attack. But Sierra has disappeared, her only contact a frantic phone call. Crime scene evidence Gabby discovers while cleaning ties seemingly random murders together - and points to Sierra as the guilty party. Just what has her animal-loving friend gotten herself into?

If that's not disturbing enough, who's the person following Gabby? A federal agent who hopes Gabby will lead him to Sierra, or someone with more sinister plans? To find Sierra and prove her innocence, Gabby will have to rely on all her training and abilities, the help of a man she loves, and the protection of a God she's only recently begun to believe in.

Bad Narrative

The story line was good, but the narrative sounded at times like a robot, which made it hard to listen.

Good book terrible narrator

The new narrator of this series is terrible. So disappointed because the narrator of first two books was wonderful.

THE Worst Narrator

I love these books, but this narrator is absolutely horrendous. Other than that, it’s amazing!!
Like the names, it’s a morally clean book. 😉 No crude language or scenes.

Narration

It was difficult and disappointing to listen to due to the monotone narration. Very dry. Story was good though.

horrible performance, great book.

the performance for the first book was way better! This lady was monotone and expressionless. She sucked the life out of the book.

Great story line, blah narration

I would have preferred the narrator be the same from the first two books. Please consider redoing the narration.

Horrible narration!

The first two books in this series were fantastic! The story itself is good, but the narrator on this 3rd book is HORRIBLE.

I love the books but I don’t care for this narrator.

This Narrator has lost the personality of Gabby. It’s to dramatic.

Gabby talks about her X boyfriend but she was the one who encouraged Parker and Charlie to be together. The past book left with Parker and Charlie having Thanksgiving Dinner at her house.
I just started listening to it and will finish but the Narrator has me annoyed.

Great story, awful narrator

Excellent story with great suspense and lots of plot twists. A superb whodunnit. Unfortunately, the narrator makes the listener want to just shut off the book and give up. Found that listening on 1.25X speed makes the story enjoyable.

Love book 3!

My only complain on this audio book version was how slow and deliberate the narrator read the story. After a couple of minutes of listening, I sped the voice up to 1.4 and liked it much better. This book was amazing from cover to cover. Christy Barritt won my heart with book one and books two and now 3 have not disappointed.
I love how the author is developing the characters and making them feel like real people instead of fictional characters. You can't go wrong with this series!
