Gunsmoke is a trademark of CBS. Publisher's Note: To maintain the authenticity of these original radio broadcasts, each episode in this collection is presented exactly as it was broadcast on the air, including commercials (some for products which could be advertised at the time, i.e., alcohol and tobacco) as well as promos for upcoming shows on the same radio channel. We have chosen to leave these broadcasts intact to preserve the unique time period in which they were created.

If you are a fan of Gunsmoke (or) really like old radio programs as I do you will enjoy this listen but you will have to be accepting of the less than perfect audio quality of the recording. Westerns are in there nature really morality plays and usually very predictable and repetitive in their plots .... 'black hats vs white hats' ... 'good vs evil' sort a thing. There is not a lot depth to the stories but the performances of the 4 main actors are very good .....While the the supporting actors performances usually good do suffer from the fact that their voices become so recognizable from previous episodes having played different characters in previous shows.
