Good information and shows process in good details

I enjoyed reading about Allison Dubois, but I think her reading is poor. Sounds like a student reading out loud in class thus losing some emphasis that it attempts to get across.

I watched Medium and I believe she has a gift. But maybe someone helping with providing information and insight of the afterlife was lost at times with the changing of voices reading out loud.

I hope Allison continues to help police. I wonder if she would be a good candidate to work with DNA genealogist investigator CeCe Moore. She works to solve old cases at Parabon NanoLabs . I think they could do wonders together. I liked the book and I hope she continues her work.

WAY TO GO ALLISON!

Allison's audio books are so much better because they are narrated by her and you really feel what she is saying with true meaning.

So much of what she says happens after death and her connection with spirits, I truly wish I could get a session with her.

I hope she writes more books after her travels.

Allison DuBois is a Real Life Character

I never realized that Allison Dubois was a real medium in life. I have watched the Medium series on TV since its inception, staring Patricia Arquette, and just found out accidentally by coming across her book in Audible.com. I enjoy this genre and therefore liked listening to it. The real Allison Dubois narrated. She has written a couple other books that I plan on trying out as well.

Informational & Healing

I found this audiobook to be very informative. Liked her thinking?/info much better than most fundamentalist churches - more accepting. Finding out the spirit world is like this seems actually better.

Ms. DuBois' style is informal & sometimes she does repeat herself but that didn't really bother me; seems more real & "down to earth". She does mention the TV show Medium but since I'm a fan, I found all of it very interesting.

I recommend the book highly to anyone who has known someone that has committed suicide as she clearly explains it and I think the book would help the surviving family/friends. In fact I am going to buy the book for someone in this exact position because I know they don't like to listen to audio; however, I do believe hearing her voice would make everything be understood better than just reading the book.

5-stars! A great one especially if you're into trying to learn/understand the spirit world.

Really enjoyed this book

Being a fan of the tv show "Medium", I was thrilled to find out the real Allison DuBois has written a couple of books, and even happier to find out they were available in audio form. Her experiences are fascinating, interesting, will make you cry and make you smile. I found her to be refreshingly honest, non judgemental and fun to listen to. A couple of other reviewers state she shouldn't read her own books as her voice isn't right for it. To each their own, but for me, her voice is fine. If you are on a spiritual journey, or just really enjoy information about the other side, you'll enjoy this book.

Loved to hear her reading her own material rather than a professional actress and her family came alive for me since I never missed an episode of the show.

Believed in Allison until her awful tv appearance

The book was very good, and I really like Allison's voice. That is why I gave it 4 stars. She seemed so genuine, more than a professional reader ever could, and I wanted to learn all about her and the books she has written - UNTIL - I saw her on the Dec. 2010 episode of Real Housewives on which she was a guest. She was drinking Vodka, smoking, and cursing (vulger words that had to be bleeped). My heart sank, and I was devastated. She showed a lot of arrogance regarding her psychic abilities. Why would she do these things when she knew it was being filmed? Was it the Vodka? I think the people mentioned in her book are real, and that she has a gift, but I no longer wish to know more about her.
