Publisher's summary

America's economy is in shambles. . . .

Its citizens are terrified and dissatisfied. . . .

Could it all have been planned by a secret elite one hundred years ago?

The New World Order. Hitler referred to it in his diaries. President George H. W. Bush foretold of it in his speeches. Formed by a secretive global elite, the group seeking this new order has taken hold of the nation and perhaps the world. Its influence pervades every reach of American society, from the products we buy at the grocery store to the topics of evening news programs.

But could it also be true that the New World Order caused one of the greatest financial catastrophes of our time?

For years, best-selling author and legendary conspiracy researcher Jim Marrs has exposed information that the mainstream corporate media has refused to report. Now, with a crisis upon us, Marrs has yet again unearthed the lies to expose the insidious alliances that make up a secret world.

Consider this: In 1910, a handful of the world's most powerful government and corporate men gathered on Jekyll Island to discuss matters at a private hunting lodge. The agenda? First, the overthrow of the sitting American president; second, the creation of a central bank, one headed by a succession of elitists who would unconstitutionally control America's money and its economy for decades. . . .

Flash forward one hundred years. Never before have the American people been so unhappy. Apathy and paralysis are the nation's guiding principles. Public education has repeatedly failed. More and more Americans rely on overpriced pills for remedies to fabricated illnesses. The average American household spends eight hours a day in front of the television, ruled by the vague fears of terrorist attacks and economic collapse. Control of the mass media has devolved to a mere five multinational corporations.

Hard Truth

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Depends on who. If you are well versed in conspiracy topics and up to date on current financial, social, and health conditions of the country, you can skip this one. I learned very little that was new to me from this book. I would Recommend it to someone just starting their journey down the path of alternative history.

Would you be willing to try another book from Jim Marrs? Why or why not?

I love Jim Marrs books Rule by Secrecy was the first one I ever read and was instrumental in waking me up to the real political power structure. His best book is by far Rise of the Fourth Reich- it is incredible. It's the best history book I've ever read. Audible has this selection. GO GET IT

What does John Pruden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

a pleasant tone of voice. i dont think the reader has much background in the information presented in the book. He mispronounced some things but other than that he has a good reading voice.

If you could give The Trillion-Dollar Conspiracy Unabridged a new subtitle, what would it be?

Zombie Nation- in fact was the original title of the book, but the publishers refused to print it. If you ask me, its still the name of the book. It's the entire theme of the book and is referenced often. We live in a Zombie Nation with Zombie Banks and Zombie People.

iam not very smart but

So the "powers that be" have spent the last 100 years changing laws to do what exactly? So they can legally take over the country . A man once said those who give up essential liberty to purchase a little safety deserve neither or something like that and the seeds of liberty need sowed every couple generations said if for a reason but this book does nothing to explain why they said it . but just throw all the problems in a pile shake it up and whamo a big ole blow of hot abs air that did nothing but make his pockets fat as he'll crap!!!!!

This book was well-written wrote and well narrated. Take the information with a grain of salt but a lot of the information in this book makes a lot of sense.

Interesting & Well Explained

I enjoyed this audio book very much. While there are many points I take issue with, I regard the book highly. It was clear, concise and insightful. The explanations about complex matters were very good. I have a far better grasp on some of the more complex systems in place in our government than previously. Regardless of whether one agrees with the author on some of the conclusions drawn or not, the explanations, history and evolution are thoughtful and stunning. I will listen to this one again.

Engrossing, Fascinating, and Disturbing!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Trillion-Dollar Conspiracy Unabridged?

This book covers quite a bit of ground. I had to take some breaks to process all of the info and do some fact checking here and there. But as a "news junkie" and daily reader of local, national, and international news, I can see Mr. Marrs' claims unfolding!
