We are not alone.
And we never have been....
For years we've been taught that human progress has been a long, slow climb from the primordial ooze to hunter-gatherers to empires. But what if that's only part of the story?
Best-selling author and legendary conspiracy researcher Jim Marrs, who has investigated the recent financial crisis, the JFK assassination, and the national socialist takeover of America, now takes on his biggest subject: the history of mankind. Offering mind-blowing information that will radically alter the way we think about the world and our place in it, Marrs goes beyond the revelations of his classic Alien Agenda, interweaving science and authentic archaeological finds with provocative speculation to show how human civilization may have originated with nonhumans who visited Earth eons ago...and may still be here today.
Our Occulted History overturns conventional knowledge and beliefs, presenting compelling evidence that the Earth once hosted prehistoric civilizations using technologies that very well may have surpassed our own. Sound unbelievable? Just a few hundred years ago, so was the concept that the Earth revolved around the sun.
Marrs sifts through the historical, scientific, and cultural record, showing how numerous ancient texts and tablets tell of visitors from the stars colonizing the earth. From the flying vimanas of the Hindu Vedic literature and the flying shields reported by the Romans to the mysterious airships of the 1800s and the UFOs of today, he argues that someone other than us is still present on this planet. But are these visitors simply observers - or do they play a much more active and controlling role? Jim Marrs raises this shocking question and more in the provocative and persuasive Our Occulted History.
The truth is out there...and in here.

This is a no-brainer for me because I don't have the time or good eyes to READ a book any more.
The narrater did a decent job, but I agree with other reviewers that the accents were a bit distracting. Having said that, I can see why he did it, because the way the author was including so much research material, it would have been difficult to distinguish between what THEY were saying vs what HE was saying. The accented narration made it clearer who was talking.
I've been seeing more and more lately that has convinced me that our planet, at the very least, has had extraterrestrial visitors in the past. This book does a great job of bringing a huge amount of disparate evidence together to make that case even more convincing! Mr. Marrs, as always, does meticulous research, and makes this reality pretty hard to ignore. Loved the book!
maybe...it was interesting
the narrator is an asshole
this is just a guess, but the narrator probably either doesnt believe the content or is a religious person who is offended by the content because he seems to intentionally mispronounce names and ruin the book with his reading of it..or he did the best job he could, which was terrible and im just an asshole
Artist and educator in Ohio....
The accents were horrible and needless and distracted from the information in the quotes.
Also, the narrator butchers names of people and places so horribly that it distracts from the reading.
Very poor choice in narration. Never use him again.
The narrator. He didn't take the time to research the correct way to pronounce names such as 'Ick" rymes with "Like" not "pick." He would go into a silly high pitched voice when he was reading a "'British" character. Otherwise he was just vanilla.
Get a professional reader that cares about his craft.
The author. Honestly? Anybody that has a pulse.
Interesting subject matter.
The book was not badly written. It was just a hodge podge of collected stories with no real depth of research. But, the narrator didn't have enough respect for the work to even try. If he was trying then it's really sad.
Absolutely I would recommend this book bi Jim Marrs to anyone who is open minded and knows that something else is out there, or for those that know there are answers to be found questions that need to be answered not only would I recommend this book but already have recommended it too many people it's an absolute must read for anybody whether your religious or non religious, a believer or a non believer, if you think inside or outside of the box or for those who just want to open their minds this book is amazing I recommend it highly...
So far to me its incomparable, not to say there aren't other books out there that mention the same things its just for me and my personal experience I have yet to read or listen to a book as astounding as this one...
absolutely it was a very interesting experience and he was able to keep my very intrigued and on the edge of your seat thought out the entire book...
Outstanding work, recommend. Jim's book is excellent. The end is so dark. I had to play it in spurts as the stuff being said was irritating to me in the least. The reader was trying to use goofy accents and changed his voice some-what which was annoying. The reader also continually miss pronounced names or people. Other then that, the main topic was outstanding and accurate. Jim tells the truth and it is not always what we like to hear. I found a lot of what he said to be "Eyes Wide Open" and not for those who want to hear a happy story because there is not a lot of happiness in the book. Strongly recommend if you like to know what really goes on and how we are basically kept in the dark.
Future esoteric by Brad Olson, same theme but more ET
Ok, knock off the nonsense with the accents unless you can do them correctly. Stop lowering your voice to try and portray cerebral thinkers.Wrong pronunciation of the names of people. That was something that needed to be crossed checked.
No, I liked that it was longer and I could listen to it in two or three days
good book, long was good. Please offer Future Esoteric by Brad Olson.
Gave up after a chapter. Cannot stand the theories shoved up my throat with little regard to evidence.
By the way, the narrator drives the final nail into the coffin.
Rest in peace, book. Such a waste of time.
I love the subject matter. Plus it is very relaxing to listen to this while you lie on the couch or cook or whatever. The only thing I don't like is how annoying the narrator is when he tries to imitate accents and women. He does a Russian, English, crotchety English, American of all kinds, country.....everything. And it would be sooooo much better if he would just read. The accents are SO STUPID and make me literally roll my eyes everytime.
I will listen to this book again...That being said I think I may have zoned out a few times on this one, but it is thought provoking. I am a huge Jim Marrs fan. I currently have two other books of his in my library
Great read ...............they want more words.......still more words and more words and more words. Still more words bye girl
