Obama’s America: Unmaking the American Dream | [Dinesh D’Souza]

Obama’s America: Unmaking the American Dream

In his controversial New York Times best seller, The Roots of Obama’s Rage, Dinesh D’Souza answered the question on everyone’s mind: why is President Obama hell-bent on seeing America fail? The reason, D’Souza explained, is Obama’s fervent anticolonial ideology. Here, in his blockbuster follow-up, Obama’s America, D’Souza shows how President Obama is applying his anticolonial ideology to unmake America and turn it into a country our founders would hardly recognize.

Publisher's Summary

In his controversial New York Times best seller, The Roots of Obama’s Rage, Dinesh D’Souza answered the question on everyone’s mind: why is President Obama hell-bent on seeing America fail? The reason, D’Souza explained, is Obama’s fervent anticolonial ideology. Here, in his blockbuster follow-up, Obama’s America, D’Souza shows how President Obama is applying his anticolonial ideology to unmake America and turn it into a country our founders would hardly recognize.

Obama came into office with an eight-year plan for America, argues D’Souza. If he’s reelected in 2012, he will be able to finish the job—and destroy America’s future. Making the case that Obama must be a one-term president, Obama’s America reveals what unchecked power will do to this great nation and is a must-listen for anyone who cares about America and her future.

Dinesh D’Souza is the president of King’s College in New York City and author of the New York Times best seller The Roots of Obama’s Rage. He is also a former White House domestic policy analyst and research scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. His other best-selling books include What’s So Great about Christianity, What’s So Great about America, and Life after Death. He lives in New York with his wife and daughter.

    "This + Roots of Obama's Rage = 2016"
Where does Obama’s America rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This with "Roots of Obama's Rage" is the film 2016, but more in-depth.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

David is just a natural when it comes to reading. He's very good.

Which character – as performed by David Cochran Heath – was your favorite?

    Dinesh D'Souza

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

Obama wants to decolonize (destroy capitalism) in America through his founding fathers (Alinsky, Ayers, Wright, Jones, and his father).

    Any additional comments?

Every American should read D'Souza's 2 books or (at least) see the film "2016".

"Very interesting, informative and well referenced"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Eye-opening, well-documented, easy listening, kept my attention, linked his ideas well, prophetical of Obama's next moves because he understands his motives, helps us understand Obama's decisions and actions.

    Any additional comments?

Romney and Ryan should both read and develop strategy from this book.

    "A Joke"
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I think people who are angry at Obama, and like a story that they can use to articulate the anger without sounding too crazy.

Would you ever listen to anything by Dinesh D’Souza again?

No, uses a theory and stretches it so thin by searching for ways justify it. I was really hoping to understand more why people are so angry.

What does David Cochran Heath bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I would have never made it to chapter 9 were they start using actual facts.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment, I had hoped I would be made angry and hate Obama, because before reading the book I would have been blind.

    Any additional comments?

This book is a joke. But good for him as I know many who believe in the anger.

"IMPERATIVE THIS BE READ BY ALL AMERICANS NOW!!"
Where does Obama’s America rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is so important that everyone planning to vote for this snake in the grass listen to or read this book. I have never trusted this leftist clown since the time he started to run for office. This book really told me why my gut was telling me not to. I will forever be greatful to D'souza for risking his life in preparing this exposure of this progressive, anti-colonialist, potentially Marxist president. What Obama has in the cards for us is nothing less than criminal and potentially warrants high crimes and misdemeanors violations nessasary for impeachment. How could we have let someone like this run the great country on earth? He always make me ill to listen to him....now after this book he makes me furious!Hopefully this book is not too late for it to get to the right people to read and discuss. The movie needs put on free tv immediately. Please read this now or go to 2016. The survival of our country depends on it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    None...despise them all.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Obama's secret plan to destroy America's economy and superpower status.

    Any additional comments?

    Obama...burn in hell!

    "We are in trouble."
If you could sum up Obama’s America in three words, what would they be?

    No way!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Obama’s America?

    Debt, possible outcomes.

    Which scene was your favorite?

China's president has it easier to run the country. What a comment to make.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Problem, we have to fix.

    Any additional comments?

I liked the coverage and pace.
